Rare ALCO RS-27 on the Minnesota Commercial, switching and smoking!

In the summer of 2022, we follow MNNR 316, an ALCO RS-27, on the Minnesota Commercial's Job 52, or the "Hennepin Job" as it's also known. Enjoy almost 30 minutes of wonderful 16-251B sound and smoke as the crew goes about switching industries in the Twin Cities area!

This locomotive is former GBW 316, nee CNW 903, and is one of only two surviving RS-27's, MNNR owns both.

    Don't forget, the SOO Line had a pair of RS-27 units, Union Pacific had 4 (one of their units was wrecked beyond repair in an accident between Topeka and Marysville, Kansas) and the Pennsy had the remaining 17 units. I hope that the two surviving RS-27 units remain intact!
