It was, without a doubt, one of the most talked-about topics in the past couple of days. While basketball is a physical sport by nature, intentional body checks are still frowned upon - and most of the time result in a foul. For Caitlin Clark.

So, who is #CaitlinClark? She is considered to be one of the greatest players in the history of women’s college basketball, especially known for her scoring. As a guard for the University of Iowa in 2024, the 22-year-old player became the all-time leading scorer in NCAA basketball, surpassing Pete Maravich’s record of 3,667 points. Unsurprisingly, she was the number one overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft, selected by the Indiana Fever. What’s more, her widespread popularity has helped increase interest in women’s college basketball.

Some say that Caitlin’s love for the sport is a part of who she is, growing up in an athletic family. Although she played various sports, she eventually concentrated on basketball and was a phenom from a young age. . Her grandfather recalled that, by the time Clark was five years old, she could dribble a basketball and already displayed great anticipation on the court.

  • CC is wise beyond her years! She demonstrates it on and off the court. She has a great future after her playing days are over.
  • She is the natural leader with talent and personality to see every player in WNBA to grow in the game together.
  • @solarpaneling
Boston is a solid athlete. She has earned respect & attention for her talent skill teamwork.
  • For me it's clear why I started watching the WNBA, 90% basketball and 10% personalities. These women are great athletes and bring dignity to the game notwithstanding the occasional hiccup. Caitlan brought me to the game but the basketball keeps me there. I do wish the ref's could up their game a little though.
  • I never heard of the WNBA until Caitlin Clark came along ✌️😎
  • @kermitefrog64
😊It's about time. Basketball 🏀 is a team sport.
  • @WillaHerrera
The other WNBA players can learn more than just better balling they can learn RESPECT from such a genuine person as Caitlin.

  • @Dstylz
The people who change things in the world always rise
  • I'm a CC fan, but I feel so so sorry for Cameron Brink, she could have been a contender for rookie of the year! She worked so hard for #2 WNBA draft pick! But it wasn't to be. Hope she comes back next season stronger than ever.
  • She throws the ball with a pin point accuracy. She is explosive, fast, always aware off what both her own and the other teams players are doing, and she is highly intelligent. On top of that she do the work and she is like the nicest person. ❤
  • @danpoole4915
This year's WNBA teams are playing the best basketball on earth since Magic Johnson!
  • @GaryMinckler
Every single player in the WNBA should be thankful CC is there!!!!
  • @Weimeraners
Lol you’re like two weeks too late showing this
  • @kensimene4830
Cc is different. Good baller, good role model and a good ambassador to the sport
  • The trite but true phrase, "There is no I in team" comes to mind. Reporters can be rude and selfish. Clark made an important point there. She obviously didn't like doing it, but felt it had to be done. If they're going to have several players out there, the press should pay them the courtesy of asking questions of all of them.
