  • I don't speak as a native of the city but New York is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating, dynamic, energetic cities in the world. You really have to be unimaginative to get bored in New York. There are museums, art galleries, cultural institutions, festivals, fairs, music concerts, theater plays, dance performances, literary events, lectures, academic conferences, restaurants, bars, clubs, sports games, gyms, green areas, religious services, yoga and meditation studios and so on. Events and activities all year round. It is certainly a hectic, stressful city but I reiterate my point that it is decidedly not boring, it is in a league of its own along with London and Paris in terms of combining professional, educational, cultural and gastronomic options, of a sophisticated, international, cosmopolitan nature

With all the deaths around me I pray to god I get to go New York with my partner before it’s my turn. From songs to movies I grew up loving the city even tho I never went there. Every time I see a picture of New York I miss that old look of the two towers watching over the city. God bless you all and I hope to visit your magical city some day

I go to the city quite often since my dad works in Jersey city and passes through nyc on the daily and I have gone there many times with him and I’m going Saturday and I’m looking for things to do in the city since we’ve done a lot! I found this video very helpful and now I have many things to plan to do!

Life long NYer myself. Left out a few suggestions that are free/low cost touristy things to do. Governor’s Island, ferry at southern tip of manhattan. Rockaway beach in queens. Can drive, take the bus or ferry over. Rockaway and Manhattan have dolphin and whale sighting tours by boat, not guarantee to see one but the ride alone out to sea is worth admission. Also Flushing meadow park where the Unisphere is. Also Industry city, Brooklyn for hipster store shopping. Japanese Village is in the same spot in Industry City too. One I won’t suggest and don’t think ppl should go is Smorgasburg in Brooklyn. Overpriced bad food that looks cool but taste isn’t there. Also too many ppl go and bathrooms are worse then what 3 rd world countries have. Better off having street food from virtually any where else in NYC
