Edward can't come out of the sheds anymore because the driver doesn't want to choose him. Luckily, one day he does, and Edward is happy. One of the big engines who was left in the shed was Gordon, and he tried to be superior to Old Edward, and say that he pulls the Express more often and faster than the others. Unluckily for him, he gets the short end of the stick and has to pull trucks and gets stuck on a hill. So naming it "Gordon's Hill" and Edward has to bail Gordon by pushing him up the hill and out of his situation. The third engine (is my favourite) Henry. he wants to stay out of the rain and refuses to come out of a tunnel. "Henry's Tunnel" as it is now called. The passengers and the Fat Director try to get him to come out, but to no avail. So The Fat Director walls him up in the tunnel. Never to come out again...
Of course he was let out a few days later and helped to pull the Express with Edward and manages to pull it splendidly. Gordon, Henry and Edward all put aside their differences and become friends again.
