The movies were bad. The actors were fine
-
This is the reason why we don't blame the actors for being in bad movies
-
It would be so cool if they gave him a small cameo doing something and he sees Walker swinging Riptide around, but being a mortal, he turns to whoever he’s walking with and goes: “That’s a pen. Do you see that? That is a pen!” The whole “this is a pen” line is one reason he’s so loved as Percy despite the movies’ terrible production
-
I honestly think the actors in the movies could’ve been great and book accurate if they’d just been given a better script
-
Logan was so so beautiful as Percy, the casting was phenomenal in the movies. And tbh, I liked the movies too.

I personally never read the books, and only grew up on the movies when I was in elementary. The movies will always have a special place in my heart, and i'm currently watching the new series! ITS SO GOOD! It's great to know that the original percy jackson actors support the new cast! These kids are really talented! Every time I see kids and teenagers acting in a movie, it makes me wish I could do it too! Cuz acting looks like so much fun!

Logan would be great as Paul Blofis
-
Ok i liked the movies but the series is WAY more like the book and thats why i love it
-
“Stop it, don’t walk on my roof” best line on the damn franchise
-
with that statement from rick i‘m very firm in my belief that no crossover casting will ever occur and going on to fancast logan lerman in various roles isn‘t productive unless rick buries the hatchet and even then i think it‘s just going to lead to a two second cameo at best.

am i one of the only people that actually enjoyed the movies? there were little movies id actually watch as a kid and the Percy Jackson films were one of the few i really liked

Regardless of rather u like or dislike the movies, they did help people to find out about the books. Some of the times people don't know about the novels until the movies comes out, and I'm one of them. There were also humors in the 1st film I loved which kills me 😅, Grover with Medusa's head "Guys, I can't pee with her watching me" and Persephone "What will u do! I'm already in Hell". The books r better, but those humors and 2 others give the movie some pointers. The others r Percy can heal other with water which he doesn't in the books, and Annabeth explains that the Gods r only deadbeat parents cause of one of Zeus's laws.

I agree with Rick. The movies were bad, we need to leave them behind if we want this to be a good thing on its own.
-
I like how Alex rally behind Leah right off. And I like Leah's response, so perfect.
-
I still think Grover’s actor was great in he movies, just the way they portrayed him was bad
-
Ok also in my opinion the movie would have been better if more like the book. But the actors fit the characters PERFECTLY!! And so do the new cast
-
Walker is gonna be next heart throb for the little kids :) Logan is my generation so Logan was mine growing up
-
Im still very disappointed in the fans for doing that to Leah. The literal author casts her and says she is perfect as Annabeth and they couldn’t get over her being black. So much so they harrass the CHILD on social media. Her parents must be fuming. The same people who harrasd her is probably now praising her because damn 3 episodes in and its already evident how well she played her character. Im with Rick on this personality is all that should matter. Shame on eveyone who did that to her.

i think it's really sad how ppl put more weight on the looks of a character being "right" than the actor/actress doing a good job. Unless it's vital to the story - like truly vital - I will not care if the looks from the book or a previous adaptation will be met. Everyone deserves a chance to play a role, regardless of the looks they were born with. If they hit the vibe of the character, they're the right ones.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I feel like I just had a stroke of genius in this idea: For whatever book (at least I’m fairly certain, there was a point in time where the story of Perseus was told a bit) the story of Perseus could be shown with a portion of his story portrayed, it would be awesome to have him be the original Perseus for that moment, as a wink.
