This guy CREATED SPAWN and VENOM.

“I hate perfect teeth on monsters. THEY DON’T GO TO DENTISTS.” I’m dying 😂😂😂
  • @kahopukehau
Todd’s interpretation of Spider Man will always be the one that stands out most to me. The big eyes the exaggerated poses, the fat thick tangled webbing, all so freaking good
  • @PhantoRoyce
I love how old school comic artists are like “yeah you can just do what you want as long as it looks cool” but there’s always the one “BUT DON’T YOU EVER GIVE VENOM NICE TEETH OR I WILL BREAK YOUR KNEE CAPS”

I like this guy. His answers were short and concise. I expected them to be drawn-out.
  • @BenTDrake
People who are not into comics probably can't imagine how important this guy actually is.
  • @Gwyndon
As an adult I preferred flawed characters but having a 9 year old son....I understand the appeal of Superman now, His pureness is so refreshing for a child and I can appreciate it.

The amazing thing about Todd is that you can see his passion about comics is real. It's like watching a kid talking about something that for any other person would be mundane, but for that kid it means magic. He's a real inspiration and I highly recommend watching the interview he did for Complex some years ago as it is life changing.

I don't collect comics, but I still know who Todd McFarlane is. That's how legendary the man is.
  • @miguelslv
Todd is a legend, a 90's living vault of characters, nostalgia and coolness! Thanks for this!
  • @Tripledashhh_
Todd is the man. He is unstoppable and hugely respectable. Never took an L always took his mistakes for lessons. Man how he’s doing even better than before.

As an artist of 40 years, there's always something to learn. Love the tips on creating depth with planes.
  • @JUGO1979
Todd McFarlane has always been a huge inspiration for me. He's an energetic, no BS, trailblazer of comic books and toys! One of the greatest artists in comics history! Keep doing your thing, Todd!

Todd is a great teacher. He gave a master class in comics in under 15 minutes. Loved when he shared about the different planes to create depth and volume when creating in a 2 dimensional page. Man is a legend!! I used to own the 1st spiderman edition he drew, but it was stolen.
  • @penken6035
The fact that he’s able to draw so well without guides while holding the floppy sketch book with one hand is really effing with me he’s so talented lol
  • @zibberebbiz
I love that he mentions the webbing, cos one of the things I was always most fascinated by as a kid was Todd's crazy webbing in every Spidey comic he penned
  • Just casually draws a perfect venom face holding the book in the air😂 too good
  • @J4o4s4e4p4h4
This man is a legend. He had to deal with a lot of struggles throughout his career and yet he always comes back better than before.
  • @SebbyClemens
Always admired Todd’s style and twists he added in his art but he’s also an exceptional speaker as shown here. Loved hearing him answer all these questions with such passion!
  • @FringeSpectre
This man convinced a bunch of celebrated artists to quit Marvel, walk across the street to DC, tell them to stick it up their asses, and then set the comicbook world on fire at Image. Legendary.
