Im in the Apple ecosystem. iPad, Apple Tv, series 8, airpods pro 2, Macbook. Been on the iPhone since the 12 Pro Max. But i traded in my iphone 14 Pro Max for the S24 ultra and i couldnt be happier. Feels like an eternity the last time i was genuinely excited about a phone. While it does take a bit getting use to, Android, its been more often than not a smooth experience. Very happy with my purchase

I recorded a 50 minute teams call the other day with many different speakers, covering many different topics with many moving parts, in regards to the super bowl this weekend. I converted it to text, which took about two minutes, and than summarized it which took another two minutes. I was actually blown away by how good it was. I showed it to my GF, who is an attorney, and she was blown away too...saying damn maybe it's time to ditch my iPhone lol Impressive stuff

Nice comparison. I think the S24U is a better fit for me. But I won't lie though, the normal S24 is just about perfect for me! The AI stuff is cool too, but I think I'd have to get hands on with it to appreciate it. For now, it's just nebulous buzz words. They'll be rolling some of that out to other Samsung phones, but I doubt mine will qualify 😅

S24 Ultra is such an elegant looking phone.

One of the best channel and person to do a versus/comparison video. Awesome job, Jon!
  • @Garythefireman66
I have a 15 Pro Max and a Pixel 7 Pro. Video on the iPhone is better, but I prefer photos from the Pixel, and all the good Google stuff. Apple should dump Siri for the Google assistant 🙃
  • @halibrahim
We need an updated comparison between PP8 and S24 Ultra
  • @coolprintingsuk
I do mobile photography and both cameras are fantastic - but iphones lightroom is so much better. The editing of photos is instant. S24 is clunky and processing time is way longer.
  • @Campwise05
Nice video Jon, but how do your friends/ family feel when you have an iMessage thread on the iPhone 15 Pro Max then switch to the S24 Ultra and the blue bubbles turn to green bubbles?
  • @Kamikaze_Jacob
I will be buying my first OLED and I can't decide between Sony A80L, LG C3 and Samsung S92C. I will be using it mainly for gaming. The C3 and S90C are both around $1300 and the A80L is around $1700. What's the best one between these three?
  • @RodimusPrime29
I have no allegiance I’ve loved windows phones, blackberry’s, I’ve used android for years when both of those died off & currently this year made the switch to iPhone. Whichever suits my needs better is what I’m switching to.
  • @dk91charlie
Definitely a good video! I got the Ultra and love it. Can't wait until the Z Fold 6! I know that cover screen has to be wider this year
  • @woofinu
Totally agree. Not only did Samsung match or exceed Apple feature for feature, but they made improvements that really matter and provide an actual, tangible benefit to the user: less reflective and brighter screen so it can be used outdoor, faster speed to enable on-device transcribing and summarizing, and live translation... Not the generic "beautiful new colors, 15% faster chip, best phone we have ever made" claims we so often hear.
  • I believe that once RCS messaging becomes widely adopted by Apple users, some of them may come to realize that Android phones are capable of sending high-quality pictures and videos. This realization may dispel the notion that Android phones are only for "poor people," as it highlights the fact that Android offers competitive features and capabilities.
  • @fraz3591
As a massive Samsung guy, I'm surprised you didn't mention the iPhone's superior video capabilities.
  • @FrancisSyCoCo
Without any bias, i have used an iphone and now owning an s24 ultra, i honestly can say and even real tech enthusiast would dsy, you can do more with a flagship android phone than an iphone, and thats a fact. LETS take away the camera comparisons, chipsets, coz they are way too overused now and these flagships are just about the same, lets just talk about the android vs ios itself, and android gives you more. MORE customizations, easily transfer files from almost any devices, easily hack or emulate, Dex, easier gestures,
  • @DoritosResidue
I have the s24U My last iPhones were the 7 and 8 so it was a while ago. So it looks like iPhones overheating issue could never be fixed for some reason just like Samsung cannot get there camera shooting experience right (Shutter lag). I still have my iPhone 8 plus and the shutter speed eats up my s24U 😂 shutter speed. Not a camera kind of guy anyway.
  • @waveringmindz
Comparing iOS with One UI is never an accurate comparison. Just like comparing two different worlds
  • @mjschabow
If Samsung could figure out a way to allow users to make Google Photos the default gallery app, I think I would have stayed on my S23 Ultra. Sharing photos to social media was a pain because I take a lot of photos and mark the best ones as favorites. But when you want to make a big post on Facebook or Instagram, it defaults to the Samsung gallery app. It’s just little things similar to that that made me switch back to Apple. Love the 15 Pro Max. They really nailed it. iOS isn’t perfect but so much more polished, including the apps.
  • @forneverarrow
Both are incredibly good phones. I picked the 15 Pro Max because I love Apple and I am investing in the ecosystem for years. If I have to compare specs, possibly the S24 Ultra is a more inclusive device, aka it can do more things. But the 15 Pro Max is definitely an S version, so it is a refined device with no significant changes but with anything that came the last years in its best implementation. It takes the iPhone 12 design language to the optimum shape. The 48mp camera from last year is way better and now outputs at 24mp. The screen also has the slimmest bezels of the Face ID era. And there are lots of power related improvements like the A17 Pro, the 8gigs of RAM, the new GPU… and of course, the Type C! If you’re in the Apple ecosystem that’s a no brainer! But for Android (and especially in Europe) the S24 Ultra has a serious competition. Sure, it remains the best money can buy but for fewer money you can find nearly as capable devices.
