radan has a pattern where he doesn't charge you at the start? news to me he always charged for me

Now if only Fromsoft could fix the fps issued with Radahn's second phase we would be square. Genuinely impossible to do anything when his light blasts tank the fps
  • I think this DLC gives a lot of people different reactions every playthrough I'm pretty sure I got Bayle down in one try, maybe because of the weapon I was using, but still got him in one try. On the other hand, Gaius kept on kicking my fucking ass every single goddamn time and I hated that charged attack of his. But on subsequent playthroughs, I felt that taking down these bosses changed a lot. Rellana became a pain in my ass and so too did the Divine Beast. I don't know why fighting Rellana suddenly became hard, or why fighting Bayle was easy, but I think because of this, rankings become EXTREMELY subjective at times to the point where no amount of objectiveness becomes clear. But that's just me.

I completely disagree with you on Bayle, and everyone is entitled to there own opinions, but the main one Iā€™ve seen lately is that he is fromsofts best dragon boss, and I agree His music is great His attacks are all extremely well telegraphed His npc summon is top tier And his phase two transition is great (Also the fact they give you a low req weapon built for the fight that you need to get to enter the area) Anyway nice tier list other than gaius and Mesmer in my opinion, but yeah Iā€™m gonna have to fully disagree with Bayle, probably one of my favorite souls bosses of all time now Edit: Midra in S isnā€™t gonna get any complaints from me though lol, love that boss

Twin Moons can be avoided just by jumping. I begged she did that to take a breather as a mage. The sword energy blades that needed light roll to be avoided were more annoying.

this is just a tier list of how hard is it to summon mimic.
  • the amount of toxicity in this comment section reminds me why i left this community, people getting mad because of someone elses harmless opinions, reeing in the comments about how they think everyone else should play the game the way that they want and personally attacking literally anyone who doesn't agree with them. this is the reason big name youtubers/streamers like vinny and asmongold wouldn't touch our games for years and if shit like this keeps up our games are going to fall back into obscurity and fromsoft will go back to working on a budget. fuck the dark souls community.

10:13 i feel like i fought a different lion. the camera was getting fucked with so much on my end idk what you did to fix it but damn that wouldve been cool to not have a goofy camera that whole fight
  • I feel completely swapped with Messmer/Gaius lmao. I could NEVER dodge Gaius's charge consistently. Messmer felt extremely simple and straight forward with his attacks (except for the waterfowl-esque move, I had to learn to finagle it so I would only get hit by it minimally). I really only died to Messmer since I would panic sometimes, never really felt like bullshit.
  • It would be nice to know what build you were using, I found that going with my faith caster build, Bayle easily tops A tier, but Gaius drops pretty low, around where you put him. Otherwise, I agree with the vast majority of boss placements, though my problem with Radhan is his aggressiveness and infinite health. He doesn't even have a targetable weak point that makes Bayle and Midir playable. I'd drop Golden hippo down a tier though, Dude is just a massive HP bar with a grab attack that he likes to do for no reason. The quills are super annoying too, like Aldritch's second phase bow attack. The only other boss that I would change is Messmer since I found him to be quite readable, even his snake extravaganza and the grab. I definitely think these bosses would benefit from having a fucking stamina bar though.
  • Real quick Messmer grab is not a hit kill move. It does deal a lot of damage but honestly I lived through it more times than I died. He honestly is a pretty fair boss... comapared to bosses like new Radahn and Malenia at least. I would move Messmer, Bayle and Gaius up and move Jori and new Radahn to Z tier, hate those fights. Jori and Lamenter are on the same level of lameness to me

A bit baffled by the Radahn bit, he pretty much always does the spinarooni move at the start, and it's actually perfect, since it's the most punishable window he has. Who cares about buffs, pop them before gate, dodge the spin, counter. If he does the slow walk, I usually just stick around until he does the spin a few seconds after anyway. His 1-2-crosschop is probably the biggest bullshit in the game tho. In some of its variants, if one hit connects, the whole combo does too. And the first swing has a tell that's around an average persons reaction time. And EVEN if you dodge the first one, if your position isn't 100% perfect, you don't have the time to dodge the rest anyway. This killed SO many runs, and felt simply as "welp, Miyazaki said it's time to do it again for no reason whatsoever".

jori is F tier no question dear got summon fights with bosses that constantly run away from you are worse than reskins and repeats.
