  • I just like how kyle just throws the balls without any approach an just spares like it's nothing .
  • There's a LOT of work to be done in the bowling sphere with terminology pertaining to releases. I was told so many times that you want to 'go through the ball' and 'getting around it is bad'. And yet I see the pros completely getting around the ball. And then I come to find out, when I'm on house shot I do indeed want to get around the ball. The issue isn't what you do with your hand necessarily, it's what you do with your arm and the position of your elbow. Which I believe you guys did cover in a previous video. The lack of people's ability to properly communicate what they mean led me, personally, to a lot of confusion and frustration for a while before I started to truly understand the proper mechanics of a good release.

Nobody gonna talk about how Kyle makes the spare without even trying to get it? 5:51

You can spend hours and hours trying to do something when practicing, but sometimes all you need is "palm up" and "palm left (or right)", and it clicks. Thanks d00dz! Can't wait to try this stuff out!
  • @acodrake
Just the tip of having my hand facing up made a big difference in my practice yesterday .. I love that no matter how long you bowl you can always improve and get better

Coaching is back! Can’t wait for the upcoming season vlogs!!!

I guess I’ll keep my comment to myself about the no look spare shot by Kyle, nice 💯💯💯💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
  • I use the up the back approach when I'm throwing cross lane to pick up spares. The ball goes straight with just a little hook at the end. I account for the hook when looking at the release point. This has really improved my spare game.
  • This really helped me a lot. As a "stroker" using a GEM and/or UFO Alert, I've had issues with consistency and not pulling the ball left when trying to increase my rev rate (like I threw it when I was younger). When I followed this direction for strokers, I was able to take my 152 average and roll a 193 and 229 at league. The first game was around average, but I was trying to get comfortable with the release. Thank you for the great tips provided on the channel.
  • Very helpful, guys. You explain how to hook a bowling ball in a way that is so easy to understand. Gonna work on these different releases next time I practice.
  • I still been bowling with my style longer than you 2 been alive, over 40 years, and it isnt how everyone else plays, and my ball slides down the lane then hooks, whether dry lane or oily ,does the same,I use the last 2 fingers and my thumb on right hand ,and its wicked to see it go.

Jeez, Brad nearly SPUN it at 7:00. Closest thing to being a spin biscuit without actually being a spin biscuit, damn.

Thanks Team! One of the BEST, concise release instructions yet created maintaining the Princple of Simplicity. Keep it Simple all you geniuses out there!
  • Cool tech bowling brad and Kyle about bowling styles I bowling straight and put little bit of hook to my bowlling ball
  • Love the way you guys break it down! Kyle, I will work on keeping my elbow tucked and thinking about my palm facing the wall. At the shop where I bought my ball I had a quick coaching session to check the fit, the guy told me there’s one thing I need to remember if I want to hook the ball… which I'd like to learn… ‘trigger finger’. End with your thumb up and index finger pointing. I started ok but struggled to get it.
  • I really enjoy watching your videos!! I'm learning quite a lot from them!! Keep up the great work!!😁😁

So..... I hadn't bowled in about 10 years until this past week. I was in a league in Denver. Nothing serious but I two Strom balls. Then a straight ball I can't remember the brand. I was taught how to hook this way. A friend would always say release like your shaking someone's hand. That worked great for me. Also if you don't bowl for 10 years. You realize you got muscles you don't use everyday.lol Great video guys.
