It's important to note that tornado sirens are not designed to be heard indoors. The best thing to do is to buy a weather radio. Weather radios are very loud and will wake up most people from a deep sleep. I prefer to place them in highly used areas of the home such as, bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, etc.
