Hey buddy I gave ya a shoutout in my latest vid about the homemade steel mold idea I got from you πŸ‘πŸ». It’s getting some good reviews and views so far so it’s well received. Mmmm silver , I would love to have enough money to buy and cast in silver πŸ€¨πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜

I hope you test your electrolysis solution for silver ! There is usually some left over in the solution that can be precipitated out as silver chloride with hydrochloric acid then converted. I know this video is supposed to be with no chemicals, but might be worth it to save your solution for later extraction !

Dude,,, where are you recording from??? It sounds like a war zone!!

Thanks for the vid kassi man. Some great pointers, a good start position, while you refine your process. I have a bucket of silver plate scrap, cant wait to give it a try... ill follow a similar, altered process. Thanks from Australia!

Good video. I have been wondering about safer ways to recover silver from plate. About how much silver plate material did you use to get that 7.4 grams in the end?
  • @FlyBoyNoob
Can I suggest that syphoning would be more convenient than using a syringe?
  • Thank you for the video! The plan of action is to accumulate all of the items needed to implement this process and get a hold of free or cheap silverplate and then wait until the silver price stops being suppressed. When the price is over $500 an ounce (and it will be), get to work!
  • How pure you think it is? Nice yield. About 1 gram pr plated item. Never thought it would be that much.

Seems like you'll need to do further refining since there is probably base metal mixed in the silver. I'd like to see the process in reverse... to plate silver on to worn silver plated items without poisonous chemicals and poisonous fumes.

That is a reasonable amount of silver. Good go and keep going

Wow thumbs up!!! Water and salt?... Solution,,, ? Can you show more?,,what about computer keyboard silvers and circuit breakers,,, how to recover them (silver) with no harsh also,,,, and tnx...in advance,.😁

If you add a little bit of rubbing alcohol to your silver and borax, it keeps it from popping and blowing out everywhere
  • Thanks for your vid. Did you remeber to cause all of the silver in the clear liquid to drop out of suspension? That liquid only gets better and more loaded with silver over time...the coloidial silver will be useful.

Not finished yet, but what I have mostly is yellow and green slime! In the middle of drying the yellow slime now..

Good vid but should preheat the crucible

It's always refreshing to see people starting to become creative again. However, the spot price of silver is still too low to reflect the time and recovery costs for a positive gain. Nice video πŸ™‚πŸ‘
