He was not running flat out, it was a casual lollop. Lot more speed in him. Lovely dog. My favorite breed.

It's a wonderful thing to watch a dog running around a big grassy field. It's heavenly.
  • You can tell in the beginning when she had to hold the dog- the dog was like “RELEASE ME. I NEED TO RUN. WANNA GO FASTTTTTT.”

I have a whippet.. that was not flat out for sure!! You can tell he wasn't even trying, more like a casual jaunt 😊

There’s also the slowing down at the end. I used to do the same with mine. He loved it.

This makes my heart sing. My old whippet Luigi is 14 years old and can't walk far and wears a nappy...but he was once as this whippersnapper! Luigi is happy though as he has got a little 2 yr old jack russell, Biscotti, to pull his tail and to rest his head on her tummy. 😊

That's about 2/3 of the speed that the dog can run. Only way to make them run flat out is to put game or a lure in front of them.

My greyhound ran a 100m on a real track in 6.1 seconds so that’s definitely more than 100m
  • It's obviously further than 100m, if a human can run it in 9.58 seconds.

nice to see the dog out for a steady jog :o)

I ran 110M in 5 seconds in my dream.

If you position the person who waits for the dog, say at 110m, the time would decrease maybe to 8 seconds at 100m. It is because, probably the dog slows down the speed when he aproachs the other person. Awesome. I love these dogs. Usain Bolt is a giant. 😊
