Lyrics:
Dead Love couldn't go no further
Proud of and disgusted by her
Push shove, a little bruised and battered
Oh Lord I ain't coming home with you

My life's a bit more colder
Dead wife is what I told her
Brass knife sinks into my shoulder
Oh babe don't know what I'm gonna do

I see my red head, messed bed, tear shed, queen bee
My squeeze
The stage it smells, tells, hell's bells, miss-spells
Knocks me on my knees
It didn't hurt, flirt, blood squirt, stuffed shirt
Hang me on a tree
After I count down, three rounds, in hell I'll be in good company

Dead Love couldn't go no further
Proud of and disgusted by her
Push shove, a little bruised and battered
Oh Lord I ain't coming home with you

My life's a bit more colder
Dead wife is what I told her
Brass knife sinks into my shoulder
Oh babe don't know what I'm gonna do

I see my red head, messed bed, tear shed, queen bee
My squeeze
The stage it smells, tells, hell's bells, misspells
Knocks me on my knees
It didn't hurt, flirt, blood squirt, stuffed shirt
Hang me on a tree
After I count down, three rounds, in hell I'll be in good company

In hell I'll be in Good Company

  • I played this song for a few friends. None of them liked it. Clearly, I need new friends
  • My wife and are celebrating our 25th anniversary and she got tickets for the Dead South concert In Missoula Montana on August 5! What a great wife.
  • This is the last song my husband learned to play before he passed. It filled many hours of his last days. He enjoyed the song immensely. Thank you
  • The one guy has the vocal range i can only describe as broken glass and honey, and I'm 100% here for it
  • @BenAri18
6 years later this is still one of the most simple and enjoyable songs i've ever heard, wish there were more songs like this
  • My 7 years old granddaughter whistle s this tune and asks me to stop playing it. You've got to get into there head early in there youth ❤ bless her ❤
  • This sound is so wonderful. The person who is reading this comment, I wish you great success, health, love and happiness!

Finally a video with dance moves I can almost follow!
  • This absolute mad lad is really out here playing a cello like a guitar.
  • The first time I heard this song I became an instant fan. The vocals on this song are magic.
  • I can't believe no one has commented on the Cinematography. The song is really good and catchy but that simplicity of these shots and how beautiful they are stacked is just unbelievable ! Well done all around, guys !
  • A old drunken German in Thailand introduced me to this band ...fooking legend
  • @justmeinclt
My son introduced me to this song and he had all the lyrics and dance steps down. Man, I miss him everyday, but I think of him every time I sing and dance to this song..
  • @agtv8185
The whistle stays in my head rent free.
  • Shout out to whomever did the whistling at the beginning. I had a lil dog abandoned that trapped itself under my house for a week and food was her only motivator; until this song came on! She was enticed by the whistle so I just kept playing the beginning over and over and that won her over. She is inside & getting healthy now!
  • Anyone still listen to this song? I just discovered it from my brother before he passed away a few years ago and like to listen to it still. R.I.P Bro.
