I've never heard of the Saga being referred to or marketed as a tactical pen

I have a couple of “tactical” pens. I think of tactical as sturdy and easy to carry. Big Idea Designs Ti Pocket Pro for me. Uses virtually any insert. This Grimsmo is awesome, but I would rather spend that money on a knife.
  • I do carry a pen. And i use it for work on a regular basis. I also use the Fischer pressurized ink.. as a FedEx courier i fill out door tags . I have the tactile turn small slim. I love it..
  • Yup, every day. Fisher bullet in my back pocket in my TSA approved carry kit. Gets tons of use, especially with the beer thing going on now. This pen is my desk jewelry pen, yup because of the box. Just too cool. I tend to rarely post on the gram, purely for me and my likes is why I purchase things. I’m kind of a have it and not show it type of personality. Never too good at show and tell as a kid. Lol. That said, I do enjoy other’s opinions on things, I like the wide view that opinions bring, makes everything better in the end. Great video sir. Have a blast on your trip

I think tactical is a reliable thing, don’t have to worry about breaking it. I will say though, bearings aren’t reliable. Grimsmo uses them in all of their products. Bearings get gummed up, gritty things get stuck in there and wear the bearings down to the point they won’t ever function again.

as active duty military i always carry a pen because my memory isnt that great and i have to write everything down lol. My favorite pen is the Titaner TacTi pen. it is a "tactical" pen with a stylus.glassbreaker tip but it is still nice and slim like a normal pen and uses Pilot G2 refills. They're also only like $40, so cheap enough that I can buy a bunch and anodize them whatever color I want.
  • Looks to be a very well made pen. I agree on the "tactical" pen idea just a gimic really. I carry a cheap zebra pen most days or a fisher bullet. I like the idea of these pens just to expensive for me. Great review 👍

I love pens. And I own the Saga. I love it! I personally wouldn’t carry a pen for “tactical” reasons. If someone is close enough to me that I can stab them with my pen, I may as well use my knife. 😎 Tacticool is a thing and I am about it. I love gear as much as you guys. Nice review! Cheers!

There are real tactical pens but they are nothing like this one... normally they are super big over built hunks of metal with a kind of spiky end and a flat end for your thumb. They are extremely unpratical as a pen they are normally for people who arnt allowed to carry knives or guns in thier areas but it being a pen sometimes lets them bring something that can be used in self defense where almost any other item would get them in trouble. Still not the best option for either a pen or self defense...

At 5 inches I would not consider this excellent pen to be tactical. Would not use to break glass or for self defense other than last ditch
  • Sagas are awesome. Especially when u hand em to ppl and they over think how to open it...the record is 7 minutes so far...😆

Cool pen but I wouldn’t call it tactical. I’ve got a couple nice EDC pens like the Tactile turn and the Urban survival. This pen seems about $50-75 overpriced.
  • $300 for a pen that's crazy it's like paying $600 for a knife.Damn nice box though
