One of the greatest games I ever watched! Miss these 2 in action so much. As a colts fan this was one of are greatest moments ever!

Best AFC championship game I've ever watched such a classic come back ...two Legendary QBs Brady and Manning.

I still remember watching this game when I was 12. Can't believe it's been 15 years since we won the Super Bowl

Jeff Saturday should be a Hall of Famer. He was dominant in his 2006 playoff run. In 4 playoff games I never had him losing a single snap. Not a single one. He dominated Kelly Gregg, Halotti Ngata and even Vince Wilfork. One of the best players I have ever seen. At 6'2 303 lbs he used his lack of height to his advantage. From like 2002-2010 once he got his hands on you it was basicaly game over.

The fact that this was posted and then we got another 21-3 comeback is amazing.

Everyone knew whoever won this game Will essentially win the Super Bowl
  • There are games that are just symbolic in sports history. This is absolutely one of them. Indy and Manning were never going to win a Super Bowl until they scaled Mt. Patriots. After all the disappointments, the tide seemed to turn with that big MNF win in 2005 but they flamed out in the playoffs against Pittsburgh. Then they beat them again to start this season 8-0, but then struggled like crazy the second half of the year. So having this game at home, after New England ironically did them a major solid upsetting that great Chargers team in San Diego...only to fall behind 21-3, it was like "there they go again". Except...this team, maybe not as talented as the 04 or 05 teams but more resilient, finally healthy (Bob Sanders) and having Adam Vinatieri...finally made the plays and got the breaks that had seemingly always gone Brady and Belichick's way. Other than the Lakers/Spurs Game 5 where Robert Horry's dagger 3 went in and popped back out in 2003, this was the most symbolic game I've ever watched where the 'gods' were finally on the other team's side. The recovered fumble for a TD, Reggie Wayne's near disaster after the catch on the GW drive...the Colts FINALLY got the breaks to break through.

Caldwell really couldn’t catch shit with them big ol eyes lmao

Surprisingly, this was the last time these two qbs matched up in the playoffs when manning was on the colts.

The most ironic part about this game was Peyton came back by playing Brady’s game, short passes and running the football , just taking what the defense gave him

If Bob Sanders could have stayed healthy, he would've been the best safety (besides Ed Reed) of the 2000's.

I remember running up and down the street with our colts flag screaming, "Super bowl"! There was snow and ice on the ground to. Oh this game is the best game ever for colts fans

It's interesting how back then they were wondering if Brady vs. Manning would be the next great rivalry and now we're discussing if Allen vs. Mahomes is the next rivalry.

This is one of my favorite games of all time. I was 8 at the time (now 23) but I just have a fond memory of watching this with my dad and older brother. This game always gives me nostalgia.

2006 Colts special teams walked so the 2021 Packers special teams could run
  • @MazzaMedia_
To think Brady nearly won this game and took this Patriots team to the Super Bowl when he had Reche Caldwell as his best receiver…
  • Most people don't even realize the year this game was played was when manning took a serious neck & back injury that shortened his career as he fought it off with surgery for awhile. Look up the Washington redskins game and you'll see him get bent nearly in half backwards that ended with his helmet getting ripped off and his screaming in pain. He would of been a monster for years more without that targeted vicious hit he endured.
  • This game was so legendary I just knew Peyton Manning was finally going to beat Tom Brady that year
  • @SkolneyVikings
I've never been happier about the result of a football game that didn't involve my team.
