Is it possible that you can do this a little slower because I don't know if you are switching sides or staying on one side thank you
  • Some measurements for anyone interested I've just made this bracelet, the folded two strands in the middle I made 30 inches, folded in half to 15 inches. The three strands I made 50 inches which folded in half to 25 inches. The twisted/braided portion is exactly 7 inches long, with a 4 inch loop at the top and 3.5 inch tassels left at the bottom. It made a bracelet exactly the right length for my wrist, bear in mind I am skinny so it may need to be a bit longer for larger wrists

Being a beginner myself, I can understand folks confusion about the lengths used here. For the vertical piece, I measured a length of thread @ 80cms long, then looped it into a double strand. For the horizontal three strands, I found that they need to be a lot longer than the finished length of the verticle, I used three strands each @ 140cm in length. It also helps to weigh the verticle strand down with something while you make the bracelet. Hope this helps!

Damn, this brings back memories from high school. We were making macrame bracelets during our free time. This is just one of the patterns/knots that we use. They do look great, and it is nice to wear. It's also washable when it gets really dirty. Variegated lace yarns also works magically.

I love how each time the song clapped, and new loose knot was formed.

  • I use to do this when I was in middle school. That was over 20 years ago. I cannot believe this is still around. I use to do this in my hair too. They called them hair wraps.
