watching troy slowly becoming a swiftie over the years is so mesmorizing.

fun fact: i only ONLY enjoy your reactions to taylor swift’s music. for 1) you actually listen instead of just explaining everything 2) they’re short 3) you’re fun!! it’s been so cool to watch you react to all her albums and i cannot wait till you do 1989!

I feel like some of the people listening to the vault tracks are forgetting that they're on Speak Now. Like? Of course some of these are cringier or more "childish" vibes, I don't know when she wrote all of these but I think she picked ones that went with Speak Now really well. They felt like they fit the rest of the album just fine to me. EDIT: This isn't about Troy specifically, mostly about commenters on stream/yt and that i've seen on the internet in general since Speak Now TV came out.

I love castles crumbling so much. It really shows you where her head was at after the vmas and it almost feels like a premonition of whats to come with the downfall of her reputation. The vocals and the lyrics are so beautiful. All the analogies are so powerful

timeless is genuinely (to me) one of the best songs she's ever written. i still can't listen to it without crying lol it's just such a beautiful love song

The speak now vault tracks were all such growers on me honestly. 1st listen was interesting because it’s my favorite album and era and the vault tracks seemed so missed. But I gravitate to them so so much now. Like I am an electric touch and castles crumbling stan through and through. And timeless is truly just, timeless. They’re really really good you just have to let them sit a bit and then revisit them!

I didn't like Electric Touch much at the first listen but it has grown SO MUCH on me. This song goes so hard.
  • There's something so funny about the chat yelling at Troy to go back and listen for the voice break while he’s just bumping to the beat like “😌”

a couple things: 1. i understand why people wanted more rock from "electric touch", but you've gotta remember that these are taylor's song ft these artists. it's not suppose to be a FOB song ft taylor. 2. along with that, taylor wrote these songs completely ALONE. including the music. 3. i am so confused why people think patrick's voice needed to be louder. you can hear his voice fully in the 2nd verse & chorus

The thing to remember about Vault Tracks is that they were written during the same time frame as the original album tracks. They just weren't including on the original album because they didn't fit sonically, lyrically, or thematically. But her thoughts and writing and lyrics would all be reminiscent of the age she was when she wrote the songs. A lot of people mistakenly think that they are NEW songs but they aren't. They are in the sense that this is the first time we are hearing them. But they aren't in the sense that they were written long ago just never released. Hence why they are called Vault Tracks. She is releasing them from the vault that they have been held in for years, breathing new life into them, and releasing them for us to all listen to and enjoy.

Timestamps💜💜💜 Vault Tracks Electric Touch ft. Fall Out Boy - 0:30 When Emma Falls in Love - 3:45 I Can See You - 5:28 Castles Crumbling ft. Hayley Williams - 8:09 Foolish One - 11:15 Timeless - 14:13 You are awesome!! Love the reaction!!

hayley williams didnt write castles crumbling at all, the song and the album is entirely self written. She just did vocals on it.

i literally bawled in the floor at midnight listening to timeless. it hit my 15 year old heart and i think that’s why i love speak now
  • @ryandylan8521
The thing to remember about featuring artists is that these are not their songs. So the songs will not sound like a Fall Out Boy or Hayley Williams / Paramore song because they aren't. They are Taylor Swift songs so they will sound like Taylor Swift songs. Also all these songs in this era were written 100% by Taylor.

I LOVE the speak now vault tracks.. literally 4 of the 6 are in my top 5 of the whole album also I CANNOT STAND for the electric touch slanders
  • @l0veLY111
I love when she says “and I watch all my bridges burn to the ground” in a really sad scared way in Castles Crumbling then in Midnight’s You’re On Your Own Kid she completely parallels it by saying “Cause their were pages turned with the bridges burned everything you lose is a step you take” it’s one of those small moments connecting both of the songs that shows how much she’s grown 🥹
  • @peachpiit
I like electric touch but you are absolutely correct! I was expecting a more rock sound with FOB. It def grows on you! And yes please have Patrick’s voice LOUDER! He has an amazing voice :)
  • @lefttrixx
timeless is 100% one of my favorite taylor songs of all time. it’s so sweet and reminds me of mine a little bit

So it’s rumored ‘I can see you’ was written about Taylor Lautner. It’s theorized the line “And we kept everything professional. But something's changed, it's somethin' I, I like they keep watchful eyes on us. So it’s best if we move fast and keep quiet”. So it probably would’ve been written around the time they worked on Valentine’s Day together.
