"If you go outside and breath air, it's very toxic. I highly recommend wearing a hazmat suit for the rest of your life"
  • Teflon doesn't begin to degrade until being heated to 500+ degrees. Most air fryers don't go over 425 for this reason(also most oils will smoke above that temp). Do be careful not to scratch it though, that part is true. Use non metal utensils to get the food out.

Teflon is on almost every single frying pan. Just don’t scratch your shit. Also, air fryers don’t get hot enough to degrade the chemicals. Yall are fine.

I actually bought an air fryer to inject teflon into my food

Don't post this without telling us the SPECIFIC ones that are safe. I've been online searching for 30 minutes and can't find a single one that doesn't have Teflon. HELP!

You want to know what’s REALLY bad for you? Finding out everything is bad for you.
  • @Mike-ze1by
Me seeing that it's exactly the same air fryer that I have at home immediately goes and cooks chicken nuggets in it.
  • @UnripeOrange
This is actually completely safe. The teflon isn’t relatively dangerous unless at a high temperature. (536 F/280 C) and the highest temperature you can go in an air fryer is around 200 C. (392 F). So don’t worry. It’s completely safe.

Same guy who was pitching a teflon pan a year ago saying they were safe 😂. Wake up people….he’s a salesman.
  • This is total bs. Why don't you tell us the temperature at which Teflon becomes dangerous and the temperature at which an air fryer works ? Companies should sue the hell out of this ''expert''.
  • @llamzrt
They're called forever chemicals because they don't break down in the environment, not because they never leave your body.
  • @poppat3238
They don’t go high enough to release those chemicals. Most only hit up to 400 degrees, Teflon is safe to use up to 500 degrees so you still have about 20% more heat until it releases them. Also, there’s silicone utensils.

I hate how everything is teflon now... Not cause it's bad for you but it just doesn't last long. If you get carbon steel or cast iron on the other hand, it can be passed down to future generations!
