You may want to combine all 3 types of herbs into RGY; not only does it fully restore your health, but it increases maximum health. Also, save up your pesetas because you're going to find/purchase stronger weapons later in the game

I just played through the orignial RE4 this week in anticipation for this game. HOLY COW I can't state how cool the differences between the remake and the original are. So much tribute to the old stuff, but so much cool new takes as well. I LOVE IT.

If anyone hasn't mentioned it, by not trading for the treasure map from the merchant you have missed items in the areas you have already been through that would show on your map now. Not that they could have been found normally, but you walked by several in areas you didn't fully explore.
