I used to think studying was so boring. How could I make studying and learning fun? How could I make it more enjoyable? However, after studying for over 10+ years to become a doctor, I realized that I was approaching my studies completely wrong. And that studying is actually very fun if we know how. In this video I'll be sharing 3 lessons that allowed me to trick my brain into loving studying and how to not feel bored.

🙏 Thanks for watching!

timestamps 0:19 learning sweet spot for challenge (too challenging vs. not challenging enough) 2:45 studying information that feels useless or unimportant 4:34 viewing studying like a chore conclusion: 1. learning the sweet spot for a challenge is important, challenging yourself but not too much, but you have to do it with the mindset of how you can challenge yourself in a way that makes you think about what you're learning. 2. we enjoy subjects that we can relate to ourselves or real world situations, so find a way to make the boring or "unimportant" subjects relate to real life situations to make it interesting. 3. seeing studying as a chore is because of perceived control, change your mindset from NEEDING to study to WANTING to study.

For me, I regard knowledge as a magic, which is abtract thing but it’s powerful to make anything objectively. for example, Your house isn’t built randomly to be your house but it’s built by someone who knows about Engineering or architecture. So i think knowledge is powerful and i wanna improve my tools (study methods) to grab all of magic inspirationally.

sweet spot of challenge how can you challenge yourself to think about what you are learning more? (eg linking different flashcards together, using analogies) make it relevant to the real world instead of seeing it as chore, view it as a lens of gratitude (that you want to study and enjoy it!)

When I was in college I associated studying with the vision of the end goal. Being able to focus on that got me through so many "boring" classes.

Very useful indeed, I´ll practice as of today... tks
  • In my experience if you do t like studying you just do t like learning. Which explains why so many people who graduate will never read another book.

The vid was amazing! 🔥 But honestly studying is fun if we are allowed to study what we like, but obviously, schools do not let us! for example: I can study maths or mechanics (physics) for hours and hours on end but at end they wouldnt be that useful to me since they would ask questions in the competitive exam or school exams from a fixed set of topics!
