-
this shit is the definition of " heavy shit "
-
Damn! That guitar tone is monster! I'm not sure why Bob Rock gets so much hate. The guy brought a new focus on tone, and sonics to Metallica.
-
My ears came
-
Love the riff during the chorus.
-
1:41 that shit just before going back to the main riff is the best thing ever.
-
I've never noticed how brutal 1:40 sounds
-
Metallicas best tone they've ever had.
-
I've been bored of Sad for so long, live or studio...but hearing the guitar track isolated brought the love back. SO. DAMN. CRUNCHY. chug is life
-
So heavy this could cure cancer.
-
Damn I wish the rythm chorus guitar was included :(((
-
That james' entrance at 1:40 is magnificent
-
The chug/bite he gets on the open palm mutes in the main riff never ceases to amaze me.
-
This was one of the more confusing songs to play when I was just starting out. Usually Metallica songs will follow some sort of pattern in the verses as they do the opening of the song, but this one was all over the place. Which is why it's one of my favorites to play.

Even Tony Iommi is like " Damn....I wish I had written that one.."
-
Sad But True is in D standard, not drop C.
