  • I have chosen this piece for my dad for his funeral in 2 days time. Just a few weeks ago he watched an Andre Rieu concert at the cinema and loved it. His last cinema visit. Two weeks ago he left this earth of his own choice. This is a fitting tribute to my wonderful dad.

I remember hearing this song on radio shortly after watching my wife take her last breath. She died shortly after giving birth to our son. She was 28. Such a touching and lovely song.
  • There is not one song Andre Rieu plays that is not played without passion, excellence, emotion or pure love. He is the Best!! ❤️❤️
  • I have never listened to classical music before. I owe the discovery of Andre Rieu to a special mood I had one day years ago. I have always been a hardworking builder, mechanic, trucker, lumberjack, a strong man with a body full of scars. This music awakened a part of my soul that I had no idea existed. It awakened so many emotions in me that I became even stronger. It became an inseparable part of my life. Andre Rieu played when I said goodbye to my beloved grandmother, when I was at my lowest. He also played each moment, when I was infinitely happy for life, love, and as a celebration of all the goodness in mankind. I always wished to be one of those people in the audience, in some beautiful square. I would cry with happiness. I wish I could experience that at least once. My body no longer allows it. But I feel immense gratitude for what Andre Rieu's music has done for my soul. It fullfiled my existence. Thank you, maestro. You have brought love and peace into my soul.
  • My late husband died 37 years ago on December 20th as a result of an aircraft ground accident. We were only married five months to the day. John grew roses in his garden. I can't help but to shed a tear when I hear this song.

Mum was so excited to be going to an Andre Rieu concert. It got cancelled due to covid and sadly she died before it had been rescheduled. We played The Rose and The Second Waltz at her funeral.
  • Andre Rieu reminds me of a character from a story i am writing my character was called Francois he was a male from France who knew a lot of songs he was a Christian hired by a fictional company called the CDS he performed on ships and one of them was the ship of hope that was his last voyage and ship to sail on the ship of hope was going to Iceland he was a inspirational character but sadly the ship sank and he died while the ship was sinking but the songs he played right until the end we would never forget he left his fiance who was expecting an unexpected child but it was from God but Francois stayed strong and would be remembered as a character full of inspiration

Now I know why some people cry when they hear beautiful songs

It's amazing how some music needs no words to tell a very emotional story in every language. Such simplicity and beauty perfectly orchestrated.

I don't care what anyone thinks, He is extremely good.I wish I could see him live for all of his performances before I died.
  • I was going to take my bride of 50 years to see Andre in concert. But alas Covid struck and all was shut down on our anniversary. We stayed home and I asked her to dance with me to this very song played by Andre! Bravo Andre.
  • This song will be played on my grand fathers funeral tomorrow. May he rest in peace! ❤️

One of the songs played on my moms funeral. The beauty of this song will always remind me of her. Forever close in my heart.
  • We played this at the funeral of my dad, still brings tears listening to it. But it's just so beautiful. My dad loved listening to Andre Rieu, too bad he never got to see him perform live.
  • Once in a while, every now and then, comes a moment of grace.....this is one of those times.
  • Kwaliteit verloochent zich niet. Als je het publiek voor je weet te winnen dat ademloos zit te luisteren en genieten, dan ben je gewoonweg geweldig. Wat een fantastisch orkest.

My mom’s funeral is in 3 days and we will play this piece for her…. 💗 She (93💪) loved Andre Rieu 🎻
