I clicked so fast my phone's machine spirit has whiplash
  • “We turn to the oldest pastime of all” Me: wait, he’s not seriously going to talk about m- “Gossip”

I play these once I've settled down for the night. It's like being read a bedtime story from a doting British grandpa... One wearing terminator armor and reading from a tome thick enough to stop a bolter shot.
  • The Dark Eldar are ruthless to other aliens, humans, and Craftworld Eldar, but in particular their own people of the Dark City. It is not unheard of for the Dark Eldar to mutant their bodies for better advantages in combat, but Mandrakes are a strange case of biological modification. They seem to be tainted by a massive amount of warp energies, and clearly they are no longer organic as they used to be.

The Mandrakes are one of my favorite facets in the Drukhari library. I love that not even they truly know what the Mandrakes are. I hope we someday get to see the return of Kheradruakh the Decapitator, as he is a particularly ominous Mandrake among an already ominous cluster of nightmares. I would love to hear a an excerpt about him at some point.
  • Apologies for being late, but I refused to click on the notification out of pure revulsion, nothing disgusts me more than xenos - let alone xenos tainted by warp entities. But alas, one must know their enemy, and it is a baldermort video so I came to my senses and realised that it will not disappoint.

I love these intro stories. they make the 40k universe seem so real, like I'm actually hearing a tale from one of the countless cogs in the galactic machine. and its only furthered by your superb narrative abilities.
  • Some of the only enemies for whom it would be BETTER for the Guardsmen if their lasguns were actually flashlights. Great story and narration for a Imperial menial's fireside. I can imagine serf children shivering and sleeping uneasily after hearing the stories of Uncle Baldermort

Scout Sergeant Oan Mkoll ain’t afraid of no knife-eared demon 😂 Wonderful video as always, Mr. Baldemort!

Aah mandrakes the only thing that makes night lords wish for a nightlight
  • I must admit, this story gave me goosebumps. The fact that there is a storm my side of the world added to the ambience.
  • I’ve seen some heresy in my day, but this is in a class of its own.
  • I'm in a bind here. I want the Dark Eldar to suffer the extinction they rightfully deserve, but the thought of Slaanesh's power up from absorbing THAT many souls is horrifying.

What I love most about your videos is you don’t just simply talk about the lore, you tell a story that is not only entertaining but informative. Ever since I found out about this channel I’m drawn in more and more by how well you tell these stories and at this point I’m confused as to why you haven’t gotten a gig as a audiobook narrator. Regardless another amazing video Baldermort I cant wait for the next one. Emperor Protects

  • Hey baldy, hope this doesn't get too high but you still read it (read: basically alpha legion), whenever you release some new thing, I'm glad I new night's sleep. Between you, Oculus, and border prince, you lovely boys are basically ASMR for us rowdy boys. So thank you, just wanted to express my love. Love the long form content, and I'll always give you an invite. In excelsus terra, and for the skull throne. Whomever gets meto sleep gets my vote, so I guess the emperor and tzeench be praised; and blessed is the commisars Bolter round for distinguishing the difference. Just wanted to say thanks either way.
