she watches the flame,
as it turns into smoke,
and I wish that I could say that this is all that she wrote
but now she’s back for more,
popping xanies and all,
getting higher than she’s really ever been before,
and I ain’t seen her in months same as her mum and her dad,
I guess these drugs,
really fucked her up bad,
see one day I was chilling, watching tv,
I seen on the news that this girls OD’d,
I thought to myself “nah I’m just thinking crazy”,
this news man said in her stomach was a baby,
it can’t be, so I call and there’s no answer on the phone,
I rock up to the house but there ain’t nobody home,
so I finally call her mum and as she breaks the news,
I can’t help but feel the guilt I should have been there for you.
