After an update that enabled 60 FPS for the PS4 version on PS5, Naughty Dog has finally revealed The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. It offers two graphical modes and visual improvements, and some Lost Levels cut from the final game.
Best of all, if you own the PS4 version, it's only $10 to upgrade. It seems like a pretty good deal, so why are some upset about the news and questioning whether a remaster is "necessary"? Find out more here.

I think this was also done to move the whole series to the ps5 with their own respective versions. So when the inevitable part 3 comes its all on 1 platform

Its pretty much a DLC for $10 with a bonus of texture upgrades. For the price and what it's adding, it's pretty good.

For 10 bucks to upgrade I'm okay with the re-release. There are some things that actually add to and improve the game.

I’d love it if they added a mode where u could add more enemies but that new mode sounds promising if it’s like RE Mercenaries

It reminds me of Ghost of Tsushima Final Cut but without the DLC. Not too bad and makes new comers to the game buy it on PS5 instead of PS4 and enjoy the game. And $10 for an upgraded visuals is not too bad.

What if we got a disk copy of this game can we still upgrade too the 10$ upgrade ??? I have ps4 disk for my ps5

It’s a good deal for people who hasn’t played it yet and for people who want to replay the game in better performance with extra features. It’s not necessary, same with this video though.

I’m super excited for this upgrade. TLOU part 1 remake was so good. I can’t wait to relive part 2 in PS5 quality

In terms of graphics, no, its not worth it, TLOU 2 looks amazing on PS4, but they will add a few costumes, new mods of playing, i belive new guns and only costs 10 bucks. Its 100% a buy for me !

I picked up tlou2 when it was on sale for £8 so paying £10 for this upgrade is a good deal

I think it’s been done mostly to siphon off the HBO series hype as well as get the game to the PC market. Regardless of how it was reviewed, I’m pretty sure PT 1 sold exceptionally well on PC.

In my opinion, this is a game I will play several times in my life. Probably once every couple of years till I die... So if I get an upgraded version to play every time, that is totally fine with me.

For those who played it, it isn't but for people like me who have had it on the wait list. I'm so excited to finally play this.
