In this video I got over a bunch of differences between Bedrock and Java Minecraft such as the ability to bone meal sugar cane, the ability to place down blocks in mid air, and the Wither being incredibly difficult in Bedrock while in Java the Wither is an extremely easy "boss".

You can get tropical and pufferfish on beckrock. The con is actually that you have .5 seconds instead of 1.5 seconds to catch a fish

the crafting recipe for boats was changed to match java, same thing for barrels. crouching under slabs was now added as well as crawling as an experimental feature.

The dyed water has another cool feature. By using different dye on a single cauldron you can create color code combinations that arent normally possible.

The reason bedrock doesn’t have hardcore is because there are a lot of bugs where you just die randomly. For example there is a bug (idk how it works) where you will randomly take a ton of all damage and just die. If that happened on a hardcore world it would be really dumb

Fun fact: you can change the style of Armor Stand bye shifting and right clicking in Bedrock

In bedrock if you see a drowned with a trident and drop a nautilus shell near it it will always drop the trident and pick up the shell, then you can kill it and get the shell back

Another thing us bedrock players have over Java: early tipped arrows. Put a few potions of desired effect into a cauldron, then, when it's full, grab a stack of arrows and click whatever button would use an item, charge and fire a bow, etc. Then you have a stack of tipped arrows.

You can also pose armor stands in bedrock. And the fire aspect book thing isn’t a bug it’s an intended feature.

The boat in bedrock edition USED to have a shovel, now it has the same recipe as in java edition
  • Shulkers are only dyeable in creative mode, java also has this but only using commands. You CAN get pufferfish and tropical fish from fishing, don't know where that came from A few extra big(ish)differences, players riding boats in bedrock still take fall damage, and caldrons not only hold dyable water but also potions, which can be used to cheaply make tipped arrows (3 potions in the caldron can tip 64 arrows). For some reason people care more about dyed water than potion caldrons when making these videos, when cheap tipped arrows can be very useful, especially for fighting a harder wither using instant health 2 arrows + power 5

6:24 it isn't true, you can actually get tropical and puffer fish with the fishing metod in bedrock edition (if i'm wrong, my fellow bedrock players, tell me)
  • @dvalee
Another pretty big difference imo is that to use a shield in Java you only need to right click but on bedrock you are forcef to crouch to use it
  • @lordpuff
The reason for hardcore not being in bedrock is very likely because of the random fall damage glitches or other glitches where you just die for no reason randomly. Instead of fixing that they just didn't add hardcore ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  • @ukipudim
You forgot to make the bedrock armor stand dance by crouching and clicking on it And you can mix colors in the water in the cauldron to make different colors

When I migrated from bedrock to java I was so confused on why J couldn't bone meal sugarcanes and cactuses, and now looking at this video It seems that there are a lot of differences
  • @fancygamer5896
There are also differences in enchantments between bedrock and Java. In bedrock each level of sharpness adds 1 damage so you add up to 5 damage on one sword where as Java can only add 3 damage with a sharpness 5 book.
  • @Butterdog333
Fun fact: with the right system in bedrock edition then you can get up to 96 chunks in render distance which is op
  • @ilove8765
6:16 This is incorrect. I can still get pufferfishes and tropical fishes through fishing in Bedrock
