Just some scenes of Spider-Dad Peter that I enjoy and relate to, I can’t wait to see him in the sequel! Feel free to use for edits.

I think Peter B is honestly the best depiction of how most people handle extended spells of depression, he doesn't want to kill himself (well, it certainly was never implied) but he has essentially just given up by the time we're introduced to him in the movie, he's stopped cleaning his apartment, he's let himself get way out of shape (especially for a Spiderman), and he doesn't really seem to have any drive in him. I mean, hell, when that portal opened up he was so indifferent about it that he was still more fixated on his slice of pizza, that portal could have been his end for all he knew and he just "..meh'd" it.

That “Not bad kid” is always beautiful When your own protege throws your lesson back at you, it’s a special moment

Gotta love how even 'damn near homeless and destitute Spider-Man' is still fkin Spider-Man. He can still swing and fight with the best of them. When Doc Ock was ragdolling him around like he was nothing, he just kept springing back up and continued to calmly explain to Miles that this was just business as usual. Slob or no slob, Spidey's no joke in a fight. He may look depressed and dress like a bum, but in his heart, he's still Spider-Man. He's still got it. He let himself get rusty, but all those years of surviving villain fights and protecting New York taught him experience and a way of thinking that none of the others had. A good cleaning up his act and getting his shit together and he was the happiest Spider-man in the sequel, cracking constant jokes and being perfect dad material to his baby daughter.

We need a film about Peter B - In this style of animation, about his life when he’s not with Miles… Like the in-between bits, I would LOVE that 😅

Did you guys know that they were gonna cast Tobey Maguire to voice Miles' Peter Parker or Peter B. Parker? But of course, they ended up going with Chris Pine and Jake Johnson to avoid any confusion

Peter B. Parker is implied to be THE Peter Parker, like full canon Peter, since his middle name is officially Benjamin, and considering the writer's don't really let Peter grow up, it's a fun take that the mainline Peter in Spiderverse is older and tackling life as a legit adult/father. He's also the greatest dad ever and I love him to pieces.
  • take that MCU with Fat Thor. what i see here is a Man broken from evrything in his Privat life, and even though the narative is "haha he fat" it is clear that his pysical change is also psychological and it takes something like meeting miles that makes him get his shit together. if they would have wanted Thor Love and Thunder to have any emotional weight they should not make him get it back together in a montage, show us how broken down Thor is more than just as a Joke, let him be down until he gets Love to protect, when he decides to now be her dad and change for the better. damn it, evrything wronge with the MCU just lets me appreciate Spider Verse more. how worn down he is here just makes you so much more happy for him, when he has Mayday and you see just how much Miles and later Mayday got him out of his Depression
