Omg, i just realized, he's singing about a Slavic film i grew up with in Russia about a boy named ivanushka, he was the most handsome man in the village and was seeking nastinka the most beautiful girl in the village to marry but on his way to go and persuade her he saw an old man in need of help but he was so selfish he instead made fun of the old man for even trying to talk to him and the old man was actually father mushroom, father mushroom cursed ivanushka into becoming a werebear (like a werewolf but a bear) because he wanted everyone to fear him, he said that the only way to break the curse is to do a selfless act of kindness and prove to father mushroom that he's a kind man

this song has released its silly little mushroom spores into my brain so that now whenever i listen to touch tone telephone i sing the ivanushka chorus instead,,

this song has been stuck in my head lately, so throughout the day my entire family has just heard me mumbling "..mushroom man mushroom man .... ivanushka ushka ohohohh"

As a Russian, this sound like me trying to remember all the fairytales my family (Mostly grandma) told me, but I am high as a kite and have memory problem.

Legitimately impressive that this is "just" a demo for Touch Tone Telephone. It's different and cool enough that it could stand on its own as an album song.
