Jaws is known as one of the best movies of all time. So if a studio upped the stakes by a million percent, that should be even better right? What if thousands of sharks were caught up in a tornado and started eating everyone?

Sharknado raises a ton of questions. Like why does it exist? Who thought that such a high concept movie would work with such a low budget? Why is it alway sunny during this hurricane? How are these sharks alive? How will dropping bombs into tornadoes help at all? Why did that guy just dive inside a shark with a chainsaw? How is it possible that that’s the same exact shark that ate his friend in the middle of a tornado?

To answer all these questions and more, step inside the pitch meeting that led to Sharknado! It’ll be super easy, barely an inconvenience.

"What are the odds that this will make any money?" "50%. Either it does or it doesn't"
  • Sharks seeing tornadoes in the movie: well if he’s in I’m in

Pier reviewed/peer reviewed is one of the most underrated puns in the history of Pitch Meeting.
  • @RichardX1
This might be the first time a Pitch Meeting sketch might have actually been 100% accurate to the real pitch meeting for the movie.
  • @tranquilrabies
I'm glad they finally increased the Pitch Meetings budget. That CGI spider attack was insane!

"What sparks the explosion?" "Just you know, life." "That'll get ya." 2020 in a nutshell.
  • Today I learned that "peer reviewed" has a much different meaning than I thought. This channel teaches me so much.
  • @jedimasterbazz
I usually love Pitch Meetings but the "peer review" joke was an absolute classic!

"Is that how meth works?" When people ask how this movie was possible.

"What are the odds?" "50%, either it was or it wasn't" Omfg that's an instant legend 🤣

Shark ado is such a classic, you know everyone involved was just dying laughing at the script reads and the fact that they’ve made like 6 sequels and they get more and more ridiculous is just epic

This pitch meeting is some of your finest work, in an already excellent catalogue. One of the things I loved about this movie was the climactic battle at the end, with the sharks swirling around in the tornado eating people, and then - when the hero kills them with a handgun - falling out of the tornado. As if they had been intentionally flying whilst alive.

"What are the odds?" "50%, either it was or it wasn't" Those are some Schrödinger's sharks.
  • "What sparks the explosion?" "Just, you know life." "That'll get ya." That actually got me. 😂

This was absolutely hilarious. That spider attack was insane

The scary part is, at one point this movie was actually pitched to an executive in real life and he green lit it… Let that sink in
