Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
No items in battle (only held)
No overleveling the next gym leader

I actually love Applin's design. "Wyrm in an apple" is such a stupid, but at the same time clever pun and the fact that they made it into a Pokemon is very funny to me

There's one eternal rule in pokemon: if it's not 100% accurate... It's 50% accurate (because of charisards last air slash)

The idea for Flapple and Appletun is actually pretty cool. Since apples have worms in them, and a wrym is a type of dragon, it kind of makes sense that an apple is a dragon type.

Here's an idea for a Sword and Shield hardcore nuzlocke. You can only use Pokemon that can Gigantamax, and you are allowed to dynamax but only if it is into the Gigantamax form. Isle of Armor makes this possible and gives you diversity to a degree

Not surprising the dragons don't do as well as you'd expect, feels like 90% of the dragons in existence don't evolve out of shitmon status until 40+. I know it's not quite that bad but in practice when you're suffering through some of those first stage dragons it sure feels that way
