Gonna be totally honest, Gen 7 might be my favorite. I feel like it’s structure and story are really unique in the grand scheme of the series and act as a nice shake-up, and they might experience that “Oh yeah, now that it’s been a while, I’m allowed to voice the opinion that the game is good” effect sooner than others.

These tracks ring with nostalgia. It only hit me as I was listening that USUM were the last mainline Pokemon games I've played. It's been 5 or 6 years since the last time I picked one up. I used to buy Pokemon annually, it was my mom's favorite gift to me every year. Always had it at launch. When I turned down Sword and Shield, my mom was shocked, haha (never liked GO so I never picked up Let's Go either). But Sun & Moon and USUM mean a lot to me. They were my first steps into the competitive Pokemon sphere, the first games I had successful shiny hunts... I fulfilled childhood dreams that I carried into my teenage years in these games. Gen 7 wasn't perfect, but it was fun. The rallying cry after Gen 6 disappointed me so hard. These songs resonate with the sound of those final times when I enjoyed this series deeply. I always wonder if I'll ever return to Pokemon. Probably not, given that nothing has drawn me back in so far. But I at least cherish that Sun and Moon's gorgeous soundtrack will remain as my sendoff to a lost love.

This ost is so nostalgic and peaceful. I think this might be the most relaxing sountrack of the entire pokemon series. Its laid back, happy, and makes you feel the same while listening. Thank you for this compilation, Im now going to play it on loop for days lol

(Sorry for writing a whole book, but there is a TLDR at the end lol) Pokemon Sun and Moon mean so much to me. I can remember everything about the game's promotion all the way up to release, I can remember going into gamestop to pre order it with my brother, and being super excited to finally play it. The day the game came out, I was at school in my mom's classroom, and asked her to call home to make sure they got the game. Well my brother and grandma were trying to surprise me (which is odd because I knew the day the game was coming out and that I pre ordered) and pretended not to have gotten it. That is, until I burst into tears over the phone and they told they got it lol. I got home that night, sat on the couch, used my oldest brother's headphones and popped the game in. I was so happy...until I got a female Litten twice in a row and had to keep restarting because I forgot to save before hand. Well third time was the charm, and from then on it was a week or two of bliss in the new Pokemon region, and to this day it's my favorite. It really bums me out to see people hate on this game or rope it in with Sword and Shield or XY as one of the "bad ones." Recently I replayed the game with a more critical eye, and still found it to be great, though not objectively the best. It's true that it has some pacing issues, and routes can be somewhat linear, though I really felt like love and care went into Alola otherwise. From the story, to all the side quests and little extras you could find if you just took the time. The challenge was decent enough and it had an excellent batch of new Pokemon all with mechanics and gimmicks unique to them. Like Mimikyu's disguise ability and Golisipod's emergency exit. The music was of course phenomenal along with the game looking pretty for the 3ds. All in all, I love Alola, and it hits me in the feels everytime when I beat the game. Ultra wasn't the best re release in the franchise, but it definetely made the game even prettier, added even more side quests to find and made the game harder as well. TLDR: Alola wasn't my first Pokemon games, but they are by far the ones I am most nostalgic for and always feel like home, much how Hoenn feels like home to my two oldest brothers, and Unova to my other older brother. Pokemon is truly special, despite their many flaws.

I have never heard a Pokémon Sun and Moon song complication so peaceful and amazing. I will literally now play this song on loop for months!

Crying internally over how much I love this 💖 thank you for this. Thank you thank you. Alola is a region that means a lot to me and I needed something like this today (and every day).

Of all the games, I'm truly glad that Moon was my first experience. The beautiful music, fun designs, alola forms, all so bold and unique!

I've poured 1,000+ hours into Pokémon Moon and gave me such an experience over the years. Thanks again for the relaxing compilation of the Alola region. 🎧😎👍🏼

Gen 7 is my second favorite after Gen 5, i had so much fun in Sun and Ultra Sun, the soundtrack is great in this gen, so does in Gen 5. Also, I want that Alolan Ninetales picture, it is so cute.

48:00 is the best song of all Pokémon games. It can be thus good 😭

ive never heard such a clean extension of "on the ship" before. most loops ive heard jsut go quiet then repeat it. amazing collection
