Fun Fact: During the hussars charge german and austrian soldiers stoped fighting. This charge was so impressive that they just wanted to see it. Definietly a charge of couple tousands of hussars was worth seeing.

The Turkish army was the most warlike army in the world until it met the Polish winged Hussars. These brave warriors were the only force that stopped the Turkish advance on Europe. The Turkish nation had great respect for brave warriors who were as honorable as they were. So much so that when Austria and Russia shamelessly invaded the land of these brave warriors and divided it between them, the Ottoman sultan opposed it and never accepted it. There was always a place in the Ottoman palace for a Polish ambassador until the reestablishment of the Polish nation after World War I. As a Turk, I salute these brave warriors and their descendants.

Fun fact: When the hussars charged down the hill they did so at such speed that the horses were unable to even stop and many Ottomans were simply smashed by the horses.
  • My ancestors were Winged Hussars who rode at Vienna. My father has one of their szabla. Have a full set of Hussar armor. Proud? Damn right!

To my Polish ancestors that fought to stop the invaders. Thank you for your incredible bravery!
  • I’m not even from Europe but now I admire the winged hussars even more than my own military sometimes. This song made me actually research history, and god damn, im proud even if they aren’t my people. Love you Poland 🇵🇱

Fun Fact: Lately Vienna was given a statue as a remembrance. If it wasn't for brave men in vienna and poland, europe would be osmanic-islamic since then. Guess what Vienna said - they don't want it, bc it offends the turks in austria. So Poland built it up in krakow.
