I highly recommend buying a ball grabber which I use on my putter so I never have to bend over when the ball is in the hole on the green- this is also great for picking up balls out of bounds like in thorny bush areas or in case a snake gets pissed at you so your hands are safe ..$10 at your local golf shop or on line and it just screws in on the putter grip...
