Hellloooo! What do you think about new Baby Audio creation? Are you more into something else, like iZotope, Polyverse or Waves? Not your thing at all? Lemme know down below!
  • Best review and demo ..Great job..a havda a couple other baby audio plugins, smooth operater and Taip...must haves also :)

I have both Ovox and Manipulator but I need to start using the stuff I buy before getting another one. 😅

Looks interesting but I don't look past the Zynaptiq Orange Vocoder for these type of vocal effects. I'm not going to pretend that I understand everything it can do but imho it's the best sounding and most flexible vocal synth type thing. Just throw it on a vocal track and go through the presets and I think you'll see what I mean.

Would have been cool if there was an option that freeze can start to auto activated when there is no input sound (eg at the end of every phrase) + a time parameter (or note length/until end of bar etc) how long the freeze should be active each time (or random value between A & B). Instead of having to automate every freeze. 🤓

I use ovox and I think it has a lot more options than humanoid. Why do you think humanoid is better? Can you elaborate a little more?
  • @pongtrometer
Can you play the note shift, for key changes ? I use ovox, which I like but it’s not as straight forward to use, but humanoid interface , focuses on supporting your quick inspiration, compared to ovix, which is powerful but technically gets in the way of intuitive playing

Humanoid is actually not "very simple" at all. The most important settings of the plugin were ignored. I'm thinking of the audio buffer size option and the CALIBRATION settings for: "gate", "robotify" (SPECIFICALLY "FLATTEN", "metallic" and "emphasis"), "shape" , "widen" and even "smoothing". There's also the MAJOR custom single cycle waveform import feature. The filter section "under the hood" is not just a normal filter interchangeable with a normal EQ either. There's more than 45 parameters between the calibration and the "main" parameters. To me by far the most interesting aspect of Humanoid is the "midi" mode (aka vocoder) which wasn't demonstrated in the video either.

Naays review. It's great for creating unique soundscapes and drones using your voice with the freeze function, especially if you add some warble or automate the one note tuning. It's great on drum elements too. This Bowie's snare on Sound & Vision for example. It's fun to mess with and you regularly come across useable sounds.

Hi from Athens,Greece! Poland-Greece fun fact connection. Unless if you inspired the name of the studio from a greek word , has anybody mentioned what "folia" means in greek language? (it's a good word and definitely suitable for a studio). Folia or "Φωλια" in greek is the word ,equivalent to "nest". Which is more or less what a studio is to the musician.
  • My mans eyes are like dinner plates, what gear are you on pal?!

Everything that comes out of this plugin sounds like a dying fly. It's GARBAGE.
