Fighting intensifies as Myanmar military clashes with ethnic armed groups across the country

The battle for the border town of Myawaddy in Myanmar has raged for the past three weeks.
Rebels and the military are fighting for control of the area.

In the first of four special reports, Al Jazeera's Tony Cheng travelled to the frontline in Kayin state.
He also spoke with one of the rebel commanders.

    It's not between Myanmar Military vs Rebels, it's between Myanmar Regime vs Revolutionary Forces.

    he is right. i hope you guys stay united after defeating the army. every ethnic army or etnicity group wanting their own country will provide a lot problems again for your region. cause then maybe fighting for borders will errupt again. also it will do no good for economic trade and also for tourism if for example there are so many checkpoints and different visas to get. hope you guys can unite in harmony after this again. thank you and stay strong :)
