Also if you attach any of the emitters to a boomerang, it will use 3 energy cells but it will do a massive range of it’s emitter variant.

A tip for maxing out batteries: defeat depths mini bosses like talus and frox. They drop 20 crystallized charges and they are basically everywhere in the depths

Im 44. I got a Switch about a year before Covid. Got addicted to BOTW during the id. Loving TOTK!! I'm just so impressed with the ingenuity and creativity I see and learn from while watching these videos. It's so interesting to see how people find different solutions to the same challenges.

More storage space. See a weapon or talus heart you want but don't have room. Use your shields as extra storage. I attach those to mostly all my shields then separate at pelison when needed.

When you fuse a star fragment to a weapon, the balls of light it shoots out illuminate the darkness really brightly. This means you can explore the depths REALLY well when you shoot out the balls of light. It's helped me a bunch. (something i forgot to mention is it only really helped me really early, and even then, as cool as it is, its kind of a waste to the point where it might as well do nothing, brightblooms are just way better to use overall.)

As a minor correction with wing despawn, their durability timer runs down when they're generating lift, which causes the little white air trails to come off the tips of the wings. Flying them backwards doesn't generate lift, but the wings really want to fly right-side-up and forward, as you noticed. However, the lift generated by 1x balloon and 1x 45° fan is sufficient to override the lift of a wing, meaning you can fly it forward without it despawning so long as you have that much lift.

If you’re in a really dark part of the depths and don’t know if the ground is suddenly going to fall away, the star fragment wand does come in handy to show where the best place to shoot a bright bloom is for instance. Pretty niche, but it can be useful early on when you don’t have hundreds of bright blooms in stock. I also always equip a luminous Talus heart shield in the unexplored depths for light if I don’t want to change armor.

It’s the things I don’t pay attention to, I swear I never saw select recipe and I’ve been playing this game for 200 hours or something

The scope is also a handy way to orient yourself through the sand shrouds in Gerudo Desert: you can go above them on an updraft or something, pull out your scope in midair and pin the place you want to go to, or some landmark in that general direction. Then when you land, you can pull out your scope again on the ground and you’ll be able to see your pin, even through the sand shroud

You can use puffshrooms to smoke beehives if you don't feel like dealing with the bees.

    - Throwing water on urself to withstand heat also works with Sidon's bubble. I'm guessing this also contributes to certain weapon bonuses. - Fuse a cannon to a lance/spear and press throw button and now you can aim and shoot FPS style. - There are small metal square platforms in the sky islands that are great to build flying devices specially to gain height. - Dazzlefruit instakills bone enemies. not sure if it was mentioned. - Rock Octoroks repair weapons except for special or legendary weapons, unless you fuse those to regular weapons then they will get repaired. Shields and bows can also be repaired. Magic rods cannot be repaired. - Attaching different things to boomerangs will have different cool effects when thrown, but some items are just too heavy and wont let you throw boomerangs at all just use them as melee. - Idk who needs to know but you can cook pizza. 🍕 nothing special about it but its kinda nice lol.
  • Here's a silly little tip. If you use a wood bundle to power a hot air balloon, and then soak the bundle (i.e. by landing in water), the wood will still be able to be picked up back into your inventory. Not super useful since wood is so easy to get, but I thought it was interesting when I found out.

Also note that Flux Cores, Construct Horns, and Zonai Devices gives Zonai weapons a +10 attack bonus.

I actually learned the Octorok Balloon trick while fighting the Mucktoroks in the Depths as it gave me enough height to enter Bullet Time and hit the Mucktorok with a Multi Shot Bow for extra damage plus Mucktoroks drop a lot of Octorok Balloons after they've been defeated so it was easier to fuse them to my shields and use them instead of rockets also Constructs can't swim either
  • @Boback111
The korok autobuild especially comes in handy if you’re using a hoverbike bc their placement can make it difficult to control. Also along with Tulin pumping if you’re wearing the diving suit you can quickly dive then hit X to cancel right before hitting B, so it’s just R-X-B real quick, and you get crazy speed.
  • @VanguardRaven
When you get on a dragon's back, you can run up and down them to collect spike fragments. You'll get at least 12 each time. You can attach the fire and ice spike shards to your shields to add cold and heat resistance to open up a free slot of clothing. A much better method than relying on ruby and sapphire gems.
  • @zakhoyt7771
It really is super awesome that for one of the first times in Zelda games that the problems and puzzles are able to be solved in multiple ways now instead of just a single way. I’d love it if they could implement it in an even greater way
  • Here's some more... - Use Forest Dweller's weapons alongside Brightbloom Seeds, Puffshrooms and more if you're running low on these items. Fuse Recycling allows certain consumable materials to regenerate and be used again. - This is more of a carry over from BoTW, but generally, the ultimate weapon against Lynels is a Royal Guard's Claymore with a White Lynel Sabre Horn fused to it, on its last hit. It combines the Critical Hit from breaking and the Breaking Point property for extreme damage whilst also being reusable when mounted on a Lynel. Also when mounting a Lynel, you can't take damage from using Gloom weapons. - Star Fragments fused to shields and gems fused to magic rods provide a decent amount of light in the Depths or dark caves.
