I love Lillias White, she did not copy Barbra's style and her vocal power was wonderful for the 52 years she was in that performance
  • I think it's hilarious that they lower Naya's by a minor third just so she can do an extra "high" embellishment a major third higher, effectively placing her one half step above the original high note 😂😂😂 In character, that's hilarious – outdoing Rachel by 1 half step is the funniest thing hahaha
  • Streisand owns this song. Lilias White is the only person in this group who tried to do it her own way and didn't just try to out Barbra Barbra. This is a song that can easily make even really good singers sound weak.
  • Hitting the note isn't the deciding factor for me, the phrasing running up to the note is. Lillias White's dynamics and musicality were a cut above the rest.

The arrangement in Naya's version was soo good

There's a reason why Barbra is the legend that she is. She sings with so much ease and she's not trying too hard like all the others. A natural talent.

It’s a really difficult song, but I like Lillias White’s version best. All of the others seem to be saying, “I’m gonna out-Barbra, Barbra.” If you want to make a statement with this song, sing it with your own style, don’t copy the uncopyable Streisand.

They all did well, but no one can sing as effortlessly as Barbara. Look at the strain on their faces on those last notes compared to hers. She is so relaxed and doesn't take a breath in the middle of Par-ade like some of them.

I like Jeremy's version (I really like Jeremy singing) but Naya's arrangement is just so good that's almost unfair to the rest of the world
  • the way idina sang it feels uncomfy omg she did it so well 😭 thank you sm for respecting jake zyrus' name, it's the bare minimum but so many CANT EVEN do that
  • I absolutely love what Naya did with this song. That she goes a note higher at the end, OMG love it. R.I.P my angel Nay Nay❤️

So many people can actually render this song well and give it justice.

You HAVE to watch Lillias White’s full version of this because it’s beyond spectacular. The crowd applauds like 3 different times during the number, they can’t help it. But there’s a version floating out there by Patti LuPone that is amazing too.

y’all sleeping on stephanie she sounds so similar and amazing!
  • @shirosh809
lea's and naya's my fav can't help it haha Lillias White was really good, don't know her but really liked her version! brittany was really really good!
  • NAYA'S VERSION IS JUST SO SO GOOD AND STANDS OUT, ik its much lower in terms of tone but thats bc she has anaturally deep voice, but for me its the way she kept going up and up it just scratches an itch in my brain fsr, ICON.

Will come back to this. Stopped after Idina. I thought "attempting" implied they missed it. Everyone so far has been stunning (including Lea Michelle, who I am not a huge fan of, but damn she got pipes!)
  • @jb0781
1:39 sounds exactly like Whitney Houston to me🥴 she better slay!! And I see a comment saying she’s 52 in the video WOW she’s amazing ❤️❤️❤
