On March 18th Apple introduced new iPad Pro models, which added an ultra wide camera lens, a LiDAR scanner, and improved graphics performance. But what garnered even more attention was the announcement of an accessory called Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro. For the first time, Apple would offer an iPad keyboard with full-sized backlit keys and one millimeter of travel. But that’s just the beginning. Apple also managed to include a trackpad that actually clicks, and a USB-C port for pass-through charging, all built in to a compact folio cover that magnetically connects to the iPad, suspends it in mid-air, and has an adjustable viewing angle. Therefore allowing the iPad Pro to deliver a true notebook experience that users have wanted for almost a decade. But as you can imagine, this accessory with all its incredible features doesn’t come cheap. The Magic Keyboard for an 11 inch iPad Pro costs $300, while the 12.9 inch variant costs $350. Now in this video we’re going to take a look at the 11 inch model, so you can decide for yourself if it’s worth the premium price.

This keyboard with the iPad Pro saved me during my class this summer when my Mac was out of commission. The magic keyboard is amazing. Full stop.

No need for my daily Ad warning, the ad today was very well mixed with the video. Actually gave a hands on experience!

Just bought it. It’s soooo worth it. Bought the Logitech touch folio and sent it back instantly. It’s not heavy at all people need to do some pushups or something lol

Advice for the next video talking about weights: keep saying it using the Imperial system if you want, but seeing also the metric system on screen would be pretty nice. I had to do "a lot" of math seeing weights in pounds and ounces haha (well, not really, OS X's spotlight is pretty amazing for things like this).

Admittedly I wouldn’t have bought it for $300, but it’s on sale a few places (I got it from Amazon for $200). I also watched this AFTER I bought it, and I loved the video! Good stuff, and very informative. Looks like I made the right decision and got a deal at that!
  • The pass through charging is basically "wireless" charging for the iPad pro

Awesome video! I have found that separate mouse for the iPad is more affordable than the keyboard with trackpad.

Been waiting for this video since the keyboard came out.
  • Me, unboxing my magic keyboard: Oh look, the paperwork is inside the product. Apple Explained: The paperwork is INTEGRATED in the product and it slides out BEAUTIFULLY.
