anyone who makes a snarky comment about sotries, servisory or colourly gets banished to the shadow realm.
i'm fully aware they aren't words.
also this is the first song of the album thus far where chronology is actually quite important.
i'm sorry about the chaos. and i'm sorry i'm not sorry about the chaos.

There's lots of pretty people here,
sharing sotries and passing letters and
there's lots of questions answered and
metaphysical, astronomical
songs, words printed all in papers that
seem to miss the goal, it's so magical.
People that dance and compute that
no one's better than you.

La la la.
La la la.
La la la.
La la la.

There's kings in distant cities who
rule their persons and make them happy and
we won't forget about all the
servisory congratulatory.
Even the animals know that
something's brewing and they're all cooing.
'Cos in the end, I'd like to say
no one's better than you.

I hope you're happy now I've revealed the truth.
I've even written this whole song about you.
And not about me.
And not about me.

[One time I tried to sing about
what was plaguing me: love, duality.
And as my mind was cleared of doubt
I could finally see these shades of blue and green.
(Let's see what the freak's turned around.)
So when the darker side had found
out about the songs I'd hidden for so long
(Can you say you tried your best?)
I finally had the courage to say
(Did you finally pass my test?)
"This is what I can do."]

[I hope you're happy now I've merged dark and light.
(And though I must admit you took your sweet time.)
This slope I'm headed down has turned to a slide.
(I always knew that we could be intertwined.)
So I'll throw my hands up high and enjoy the ride.
(You played Dr Jekyll so I played Mr Hyde.)
You've helped restrain that voice that slumbers inside.
(And doctor I think I am finally me.)
I'm not quite alright.
But at least now I'm mine.

Please don't just laugh and clap right now.
This is serious, I'm not delirious.
I've waited very patiently
just to let you know, you five-man puppet show
that you're the golden standard, the
trophy's handed to you, the disbanded group.
Concluding in the song I'll say...
But wait, I'm not quite done, ya see.

'Cos this is very fun for me,
and I've never been one for subtlety.
So consider this a eulogy
to the colourly band that used to be.
And no, I'm not alone in this,
you left your footprints you made a difference.
Concluding in the song I'll say
no one's better than you.
No one's better than you.
No one's better than...
you.

/a limerick/ October the twelfth sits Mr Green. And for Yellow, August ten plus sixteen. Red and Blue in September. Grey, shy a month past December. and Orange at the age of zero in Detroit, MI in a hospital that no longer exists. He enjoys writing avant-garde music and comedy shorts. He loves ethnic food, especially when he cooks it. His right inner ear rings at a high Bb.

everyone's been talking about the Mind Electric teaser, but that subtle reference to Spring and a Storm hasn't gone unnoticed ;)
  • god the whole dr jekyll and mr hyde line leading flawlessly into the still me line from mind electric was sheer perfection, this is some perfecto stuff!
  • @formal_club
"[One time I tried to sing about what was plaguing me: love, duality.]" you fucking genius.

"This slope I'm headed down has turned to a slide. So I throw my hands up high and enjoy the ride." Such a raw line.
  • @callampas
Omfg, the inclusion of the Mind Electric, I did not expect that, I love your take on this one

I found this guy through his Ruler of Everything cover, my favorite band, and saw he had a cover of Moss, another one of my favorite songs, ive been following his work since. Now he uploads a cover on the two tally hall songs Ive wanted him to cover the most, this guy is reading my mind help
  • I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE IN THE TALLY HALL FANDOM, YOU'RE A MUSICAL GENIUS
  • @yerzero_
Your style is like the child of The Living Tombstone and Tally Hall, i'm here for it
  • I must say, Mr. Jash, your music is quite an enigma to me. For everything I dislike, there are two more things that I do like. With that said, you've earned another subscription, and an eager fan waiting for your next move
  • @goosealt
i like the deep voiced little entity that comes up in ruler of everything, and then this song (even though its a cover) hes funny
  • i feel like a lot of people are getting hyped about the future teases, but i wanna take a second to really appreciate the heartfelt ending. even beyond the spectacle and deliberate chaos, you’re also great at putting genuine emotion into your work. you are truly admirable
  • I CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO THIS. As a chronic tally hall fan, those last lyrics paying respects to "the band that used to be" really hit me harder than expected. Well done man, well fucking done!
  • @holdenew
I can't stop listening to this - you took one song and turned it into a full tribute to the band's entire career (first couple verses are MMMM, and then the new verse references Good & Evil before transitioning into the Mind Electric) Absolutely phenomenal
  • @TubbyFatfrick
Whatever narrative you are going for, with Heart, Mind, and Soul, this seems like a finale.
  • @Ml_KO
Fun fact: “sotries” was actually misspelling on tally hall’s part, it actually was supposed to be “stories” but they sang it that way anyways. Now banish me to the shadow realm.
  • @garfizzle11
ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH THIS.... the dr jekyll and Mr hyde line actually gave me goosebumps, keep up the good work chonny!!!
  • @lemonbee6778
I love how all your tally hall covers are like "you guys were great I'm glad you made music" it's sweet.
  • @kremlov1478
Just woke up from a nightmare where I was watching one of your covers and the screen just shifted from the song to a black screen with shifting faces highlighted in white. I couldn't stop the video and I'm pretty sure it was a mind electric cover. Over all great songs man 👍
