My wife's credit card was stolen but i didn't bother to get it back cause the thief was spending less than my wife

If a robber broke into my house looking for money I would look with them

One thing I learned living in Brazil is: always make eye contact with who you think is gonna rob you. Stealth and surprise are key elements for a thief/robber/burglar to act and succeed. It happened with me more than once, I was surely gonna be robbed, then I looked at them and walked towards them and they just went away. In one of these situations they actually robbed the person right in front of me. Always make sure the robber knows you are aware of them. A thief is essentially a coward.
  • When a thief says the best deterrent is to be neighborly it shows how reluctant we are to talk to each other and its sad.

If I'm looking inside a house and I see a bottle of Dawn or Tide, that's a detergent.

this guy's knowledge and understanding about his "target customers" is way beyond most sales people in any businesses

No one answers the door anymore even when they are home

At first I was wondering "Why is he so careful to make sure no one is home?" Then I remembered he was in Texas. Not wanting to get shot can be a great motivator.
  • Someone broke into my house, I woke up while he was searching for money, so I helped him search because if there's money in the house, I'd be shocked.

I love how professional this interview is and the respect between criminal and law. They are showing that he’s a nice person but had a shitty career choice! Awesome doc
  • Something tells me, by doing this interview, he has helped a lot more people than he hurt.

1.5K burglars are upset with this dude revealing some of their tricks.

Our home was robbed on a bad weather day (heavy rain). The cops told us they felt safer breaking-in while the rain noise helped them from being easily heard or from neighbors hearing. They'd cased our place & waited for bad weather & us being gone to work.
  • The recommendation of saying just a minute I’m on the phone is great, thank you

"I look for well kept homes" And all my idiot friends that kept telling me to clean up my home. Who's laughing now?!
  • @Jawohl721
“I don’t tie people up and hurt them. I’m a thief; I’m not proud but it’s what I am.” PROFESSIONALS HAVE STANDARDS
  • I am a Security Consultant with 50-years experience in private security service and electronic surveillance and detection equipment. The information testified to in this video is very good information, but a little outdated on alarm systems. Few people have home phones anymore, so nearly all alarm systems communicate by cellphone or Internet. Internet is very, very fast and often alerts the user at the same time as the monitoring station.

I truly hope Shane has been honest and truthful and actually suffers remorse and stays clean of drugs. When he gets out please continue with these public service messages and visit with local PD and community groups with this sort of message. It will help a lot of people
