Yep. Title is incorrect. Don't be harsh on me 🥲

The special thing about 2017 Federer is how he finally figured out his backhand and made it a weapon. Prior to that, his backhand was his only weak point. People could no longer go to his backhand for safety because it was sincerely dangerous. 2017 Federer was maxed out in every regard, and one of if not the greatest peaks of any player ever.
  • You can always prize Novak as one of the greatest because of his slams. But come on.... No human has been able to play the sport as Roger did. His peak level is miles away from any other human. And it's not just beauty, it's being able to do things nobody can.

I am so glad this video is made for.the last year I’ve been telling all of the people that I played tennis with that as I look back, Federer in 2017 was the most beautiful and best tennis ever played in history. I’m so glad that there is confirmation that many people agree with that.

In my 66 years watching/playing tennis, watching Federer that year - for so many reasons - was simply the best.
  • The first half of 2017 from federer was absolute masterful. He won wimbledon without dropping a set. Only rhe 2nd time in his career
  • Roger Federer's 2017 season was a masterclass in tennis excellence, characterized by unparalleled skill, unwavering determination, and sheer brilliance on the court. His achievements during this remarkable year solidified his status as one of the greatest athletes of all time and left an indelible mark on the sport of tennis for generations to come.

As far as I am concerned Federer is the greatest player to ever play the game, no second thoughts.

This version of Federer was my absolute favorite through the years. His backhand hit its peak and he was smashing the small with so my precision
  • @PrivaBonito
I'm a Nadal fan but also a tennis fan, so I loved watching Federer. I miss him :(
  • @flyduck
roger is just too good, his shots look graceful and elegant, he is calm and his shot selection is varied. Once in a generation talent. Swiss precision with south african athleticism

This tennis version of Federer lasted until the 2018 Indian Wells final, then from there he had a slow decline with only a few tournaments (in 2019), where he played at a level almost similar to Neo Federer.

Tennis will never see this again. Federers reactions, handskills, footwork, tennis intelligence, placement, angles, spin variation, improvisations only one man on the scene with a two handet BH names Carlos alcaraz has the ability to stun the crowd consistently like Federer did.. Rune i would tell. If he first gains full momentum in his career. Rune too. Sinner is the best right now, but he is like the improved agassi/Berdych type. Magicians this level is rare.
  • God, I miss Federer! I don’t care what the records say, no one has played the game better IMHO.
  • @Stickybutton
He may not have the stats of Novak or Nadal… but he played the most beautiful game amongst all of them.
  • @dielaughing73
Federer would nail shots that others wouldn't even attempt - and make them look easy
  • @allboutthemojo
Rafa makes you feel uncomfortable all match long with his forehand and fighting for everypoint. Djokovic makes you feel like you're trying to go through a wall. Roger is the only one ever who toyed with you and made you feel helpless like you don't know tennis. That's why he's the Maestro! 🏆
  • @andreaho
Federer even make his heavy striking effortlessly.
