Train Traffic between Brussels and Leuven (200 km/h) | January 16, 2024

Published 2024-01-21
In this video, I visited the stations Kortenberg and Erps-Kwerps located on line 36 between Brussels and Leuven. This line is divided into two parts, the outer tracks (L36), which have speeds of up to 160 km/h and serve the local stop trains. The two middle tracks (L36N), on the other hand, are used by international and intercity trains that don't stop at the station. These two tracks are also equipped with the newest safety system, ETCS which lets some types of trains (HLE 18, ICE, Eurostar) travel at speeds of up to 200 km/h.

I tried to provide as much information as possible about each train in the caption shown with each train.

Enjoy the video!
