The BBQ lasagna reminds me of the BBQ spaghetti i had in Memphis. Didn't think i'd like it, but the locals swore by it. So i tried it, and it was GOOD! Basically pulled pork BBQ over spaghetti noodles. With extra BBQ sauce. So good.

I actually went to a restaurant supply store, to get a steam tray JUST to make lasagna. Because a standard cake pan isn't deep enough. I like my lasagna tall, with many layers. And you don't need to be crazy with the seasonings and spices. If you use good ingredients, they are the flavor. Onion, garlic, tomato and basil. With the requisite salt and pepper. Other than that, you don't need anything else.
