I've actually visited the White House as a tourist, and just the security I could SEE would have stopped this attack butt cold. Also, any plane---ANY plane--that even comes close to DC airspace without permission will have multiple fighters "escorting" it and be being tracked by multiple SAM sites inside of 1 minute.

The President also travels with a much larger entourage, including emergency medical assistants and strong enough vehicles to have pulled the Beast out

You missed a couple sins I noticed after a rewatch: 1) The two garbage trucks with the mini guns decimate the second wave of secret service agents coming out of the White House but are never seen from again. You have me believe they, what, fell asleep on the job? “Nope, we took care of the last of the resistance; our job is done here. Let’s fire up Netflix and chill.” 2) The George Washington monument that collapsed after the plane hit it is shown fully intact at the end of the movie when a new American flag is hoisted up the flagpole. Why can’t all construction be that quick?!

Seriously, when you get to the AC-130 part, you have to suspend your disbelief so hard you won't disbelieve anything anymore. Then it only gets worse. Perhaps this movie would be possible if it was a national 'military and national security services take the day off day'.

It’s not about inaccuracy for me, it’s about the utter idiocy shown by everyone in the military/police /SecretService. The very first assault is the worst. Your heavily fortified position is being Assaulted, by a superior force, so what do you do? If you voted: send out 2/3rds of your force, single file, through a door covered by multiple heavy machine guns and RPGs. With only handguns and a few submachine guns, no base of covering fire from inside, and keep pushing on them even though you are taking heavy casualties. and overwhelming backup is only a few minutes away, if you just simply hunker down, take cover, and survive. Then you would be a screenwriter for this movie. But I guess you can’t have the White House fall, if the fool proof defences were actually used by professionals, and not Amateur CoD players on vacation.
