Have to say what had me was not the fancy automation and the violence of the spinning blade but the sublime shear of the obviously super sharp chisel paring the endgrain of that tenon Nothing is more zen in the shop than the feel of the tool in the hand and the whisper of its traverse over the wood. Ya, that’s what chills me out. Jesus was a carpenter. Don’t you wonder if that had anything to do with his demeanor?
