Sorry but website with templates and plans is now down thanks to hackers and running costs.

In this video we make a cheap easy to use vacuum former that not only works well, but is quite quick to build. essentially this was made from scrap wood, a tube of silicone sealant and two screws, but it works really really well.

If you've ever thought about how to make a vacuum former, this build would be a good place to start.

Here's a link to Kipkays video on building a vacuum former, which was the first one I could find, so I'll give him some credit : Kipkay's vacuum forming video:    • Weekend Project: Make a Vacuum Former

I was looking at vacuum formers so YouTube slipped me this video amidst some others I was actually searching for. And this is my favorite build so far! So dead simple. I love it when builds make a point to show how you can make it with household items and basic tools. Subbed!
  • @Olabid
wow, that's awesome and much cheaper than commercial vacuum formers. Thanks for the video.

No bullshit materials, screws or gadgets, straight to the point. Love it 👍
  • This is the best video seen to build a vacuum former to thermoform PETG: nice, simple and efficient design! Thank You 🙌
  • @Kremmen2001
That's a brilliant little former. So simple, yet very effective. Love it!
  • @tjfSIM
Excellent video, really clear and well presented! The only thing I would change is maybe use mdf pegboard rather than drilling the holes, but otherwise it looks brilliant.
  • So when you're not fixings roofs. You are vacuum forming. I'd recognise your voice anywhere. 🤣🤣
  • @rongarza9488
Rough sanding the top surface sounds like a great idea. It probably provides paths, at least until the holes get sealed.

Back at it again with another excellent video so cool 😎

ESPECTACULAR!... I will do it right now... or early in the morning, i dont want distrub neighbors with noises.

This is one of the best ones I’ve seen in terms of cost efficiency. Where do people traditionally buy the plastic for the molds? Online?
  • @mikeg8609
Why on earth are there SOOO many keyboard warriors / trolls on here? Anyone would think the ideas posted on here were licensed under copyright. If they were, we would have to pay to watch them... Anyway... Who cares who, why, how, this was one of the top hits in my search and it ticks the boxes. BrainfooTV it was good enough for me fella!

  • Either I missed it or you didn't mention is, where did you get your plastic? I'm looking for clear PETE (in Europe).
