Former Lieutenant Sean Murphy worked for the San Diego Police
Department for thirty-two years. During his tenure with the San Diego
Police Department, Sean was assigned to SWAT for over twenty years. He
worked with the narcotics, gangs, K-9, and the famous Border Team. His
expertise is police use of force and SWAT tactics.
Former Detective Benny Cruz worked for forty-two years in law
enforcement. He started his career with the Imperial County Sheriff's
Office and then lateraled to the San Diego Sheriff's Department. He
started his career as a deputy assigned to the Imperial and San Diego
county jails, where he developed his expertise on street and prison
gangs. Benny worked patrol in the high-crime areas, where he developed
his expertise with Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs, KKK, NLRs, and Skinheads.
After his patrol days, he was promoted to Detective, where he
investigated numerous high-profile cases, bi-national, bank robberies,
and other violent crimes. His expertise is in investigations.
Former Calexico Chief of Police Gonzalo "Chalo" Gerardo has over
thirty years of combined law enforcement experience. Chalo worked and
coordinated numerous high-level narcotic, gang, and law enforcement
corruption cases. His expertise was in developing community support
and relationships by building bridges between the community and law
enforcement agencies. He also developed expertise in working with
Mexican and U.S. Law enforcement as a liaison. He investigated and
solved numerous bi-national cases. Chalo is not only an honorary
retired chief of police, but a man respected by many men and women who
served under his leadership.
Former Detective Sergeant David Contreras has thirty-two years of
combined law enforcement experience. He began his law enforcement
career with the California Department of Corrections, specializing in
street and prison gangs. David transferred to the San Diego Police
Department in 1988. During his tenure with SDPD, David worked patrol
in Logan Heights for five years, in community relations, gangs,
narcotics, and internal affairs, as Special Assistant to two Chiefs of
Police and Criminal Intelligence assigned to Mexico. David's expertise
is in prison gangs, street gangs, narcotics, community relations and
policing, and Mexico's past and present criminal and political trends.

Great podcast I'm Chicano but I grew up in a Bronx housing project in the 60s we were the only Mexican American family probably for 1000 miles back then. Growing there at that time up was tough.

I was in Folsom in 2012 and 2013 many many years after the ship sunk , however I ended up landing in a few cells that had Mexican Mafia members names carved in the walls, one that stood out was Chago from Fx13 which was killed in the visiting booth while visiting with his family, in fact I think it was Cuate Grajeda who killed him .

I walked out of the theater when I saw what they tried to portray about our People ! The culture was something that I inherited and Thank God that I was surrounded by the people that did at the end of the day had a faith in a God. Gracias 🙏 for looking out for us that would listen !

The movie may have been fictional, but it was directionally, right which is all the movies trying to do when I hear Mundo story of how it happened and I watch the movie I say yeah it makes sense. It’s directionally, right

Amos should of never put the rape scene in the movie. He was told not to do it and lied about getting permission from Joe Morgan. He cost people their lives which is a heavy thing to live with if you have a heart. How do you even start to explain that to those peoples kids ,families? I’m pretty sure that he didn’t apologize to anyone for it. I worked in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles from 1997-2008 and what I heard about him wasn’t anything good. He seemed like a asshole.
