My favorite bag to date. I review the CPL 28L Mirror after four months of daily/travel use. For my uses, this is one of the best bags on the market.

  • Thanks for the great review! You covered a lot of details and it was good to see a review for the V3, many of the other CPL 28 L reviews are for the older version. The attention to detail and the interior organisation seem to be outstanding and as a lefty, Iove that they produced a mirror version. Overall, this really helped me to narrow down my search for a perfect backpack, the CPL 28L seems to be the absolute sweet spot.

Great review.. it helped me make up my mind to buy a CPL28L to replace my CTB35. 28L is the perfect size! I think it looks cleaner too without the water bottle pockets which I never use and not as bulky looking as the CTB35.
  • Just ordered this exact model, wish the xpac was available tho. Will be using this for my one bag travels.

Great review! Can i ask what model Arkteryx jacket you are wearing in this review?

Awesome review! Very cool backpack, I’m eyeing this backpack as my next one-bag travel backpack. But Chris, how’s the pDWR coated zippers performing so far? Still doubt these zippers as they are not YKK Aquaguard zippers. I own Peak Design Totepack (20L) with Zoom Zippers and Bellroy Transit Backpack Plus (38L) with YKK Aquaguard Zippers, this bag (28L) would be a perfect backpack for me. Greeting from Indonesia!
  • Nice video! I have a few questions. Have you tried using this for small travel too? And have you compared this to the CTB 26 in capacity? It looks very similar, but don’t know if those extra 2 liters actually help or not.

Hey Chris, I was wondering how well the exterior side handle works for sliding over a luggage handle to keep the bag in place when traveling? That's the only thing holding me up from getting it, if you'd be able to test it I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

Hello! Thank you for your great reviews, I really enjoy your channel. Can I please ask, what is your opinion between CPL28 and CTB26? given that CTB has two external water bottles and one extra zipper pocket in front? isn't that a better daily bag? thanks for your time.
  • Have you tried the 500D variants of the GR2? Huge difference in the feel.
  • Do the straps on this CPL 28 still slide off your shoulders? That’s the one thing that keeps me from buying another EG bag is the slick straps. I’ve been wondering if the new Ecopak material is as slick and suffers from same issue. The original EG material (Version 1), it was not slick and did not slide off. What’s been your experience?

i hear 'gone crazy with evergoods lately', i subscribe. that simple.

I got the x-´pac green one, how would you describe the feel of the fabric for this one, do you like it better?
  • @chrisguevara
I check out many people wearing their pack on one should and they put it on their dominant side. I do the same. I don't understand who puts their backpack on their left arm (other than lefties).
  • @filipinophreak
Might not be important to others but does it have a water bottle holder?

“Don’t tell my wife.” Hmmm…guns, knives, bags, tactical gear, technical outdoor gear, golf clubs, and let’s see…..😂

I don't see how making an edition for left-handed people makes sense when it comes to production costs. Nevertheless, lucky lefties got their Evergoods CPL version. I love my regular right-handed version. Side handle and vertical pocket are killer features.
