Thats what happens when you have a real old school mechanic on board, not taking anything away from Rob who sourced the opportunity and clearly makes it a team event, what a class act, good on you guys from a 70 year old, old school mechanic ex of Harritsham / Charing now retired to Canada, never miss a video.

That's going to be a nice family car for somebody. Well done guys doing it the old fashioned way rebuilding the old engine not just throwing it away and sticking a new one in. Proper job.

What a touch with that engine. Brilliant work once again. Everyone jokes about all the oils compared to the old days, but it shows you how important it can be to get the right one.

Check the oil spec again as I believe the spec for that engine is now a 5w30 Stellantis FPW955535/03 changed from 0w20 in Jan 24. Your local factor has given you the wrong oil, given the problems with that engine I’d check this out.

You landed on your feet there. Last video I was despairing as I expected that you would need to buy a used engine for around £2500. What a lucky break with all your trade contacts. Regarding the oil and filter, I agree that it is prudent to warm up the engine and dump the oil and filter, it is badly needing a flush due to previous neglect.
