Barbie Girl was one of those "you had to be there" moments. That song was HUGE hit in 1997, and I'm happy that a new generation is discovering Aqua.

It's insane to me that she's suprised by how big the song is. As a kid I never watched a single Barbie movie but heard that song everywhere and I assumed it was the main theme of the Barbie movies and shows and of the product as a whole because it felt as popular as Barbie herself was.

As a 90s kid, I was around when this song dropped and was humongous, I’m now old enough that there’s a resurgence, I’m so happy they’re getting the modern worldwide recognition

Aqua’s Aquarium was one of the first CD’s I ever owned as a kid. I love the entire album so much to this day.

Aqua is one of the most underrated groups of the 90's. I'm so happy they are getting more air time-and we can always do with more. Their creativity is so fun and infectious!!!

I have never been a Barbie doll kinda girl, nor did I like this song, but her emotional response to it being included in the new movie touched my heart that I immediately streamed it!

"We didn't know we have so many fans in America" ... girl, Aqua is LEGENDARY to 90s kids in America! I'm so glad they get to see now all of the young kids in the 90s/early 2000s who LOVED their music who were not old enough to attend their concerts. I was jamming out to "Doctor Jones" ... lost my mind! Never thought I'd get the chance to see it live!!

Aqua is one of the best pop groups of the 90s and they deserve more praise. Their first two albums are gems. I love to see this resurgence.
